20 inch arms? ???

Rich Gaspari used to claim the same thing   ::)

I saw him guest pose during the year he was Mr America.
Unlike modern guest posers he was 90% when guest posing.
No f'n way his arms were anything close to 20" in ripped condition.
I shook his hand wearing a short sleeve t-shirt and was surprised at how small he looked up close.
BUT, with that tiny waist and wide shoulders/lats , he looked INCREDIBLE posing on stage.

A bit light in the legs by bbing standards but I'm not a huge fan of balloon quads so he was damn near perfect. Great poser too. Jazzed it up a bit but didn't go over board with all the rap/strip dancing balonie.

He was about 185 tops when he won the Mr. America. He was in amazing shape. Ripped to the bone with a crazy waist to lat ration. I agree about the arm measurements. A ripped 20" arm is just about unheard of in anyone weighing under 220lbs.

Guys like him and Zane are absolute proof you don't need to weigh 250 lbs to look incredible on stage.

As good as this looks it actually doesn't do Tony justice in a real life situation. Face it, at least for my part, men do not look good in speedos. Tony has small calves and it kind of detracts from his physique. I saw a pic of him at a beach just wearing board shorts, a look more common irl, and he just looked like a god. He looked like a incredibly in-shape guy in his mid to late 30s. Had that super athletic look without the bloated proportions of a modern bber.

At this stage the thong doesn't suit him as well. He should stick to the 70s style trunks for guest posing if you can even find them nowadays.

How do you "ditch" calf implants. We're they that common in the 1980s and do you think he would go through the expense and trouble to have them removed? Where are the scars? I knew one person who had calf implants when I trained at Golds in the mid 1990s and you could see the scar even though they tried to blend it in with the natural skin wrinkles behind the knees.

Posing used to be an artform now it`s not even really done on stage.

This sport went in the shitter a long time ago.  :(

A classic bodybuilder for whom I have much respect, even though I never was too into his particular look. Still, watching that video, it's amazing how shitty today's pros look, by comparison.

When Tony hits a pose, muscle explodes. They grow and pop.

The guys today just look like inflated sacks of shit, and whether standing relaxed or posing, everything appears the same.

Lumpy messes.

The 80s and 90s guys are what make you want to lift weights. Today's Pros make you embarrassed to be associated with them. They look terrible.
