Baitollah Abbaspour who won his first pro show last year got realeased from hospital these days after several months in intensive care (almost died due to severe health issues).
Lost some size too (regarding drugs are just the finishing touch etc.)

Maybe he can hock the $3 plastic trophy he almost won to pay for the 10K in hospital bills.

Any more info on what exactly happened to him? I'm not on many other forums.
Affeman, where did you read about this?
-
AMAZING at what happens ,,mind you he was ill but theres no chance to maintain any of that mass without drugs.that level of size is so fleeting,if u can be like that and get out healthy cool, guys like this he would still be using if he didn't get so sick..
-
A lot is written in Arabic on him.
-
How old are those before pics? I don't think he lost all of that just in a couple months in hospital ???

I'm not sure who coined the phrase steroids are the finishing touch. Steroids are everything at that level. I'm also surprised at how naïve some of you are when you see a man who built a massive amount of muscle with drugs and are surprised at how he shrinks when he comes off the drugs that built the size he has. Steroids GH and Slin builds a shit ton of mass and guess what............. IT'S TEMPORARY !!!!!! as in no matter how hard you keep lifting you won't keep all that size cause if you could you would have gotten that big with out all those drugs.

I will give him my kidney so he can continue his battle in the IFBB.
-
Him being a 5 ft 4 retard he will probably give it another shot and succeed in killing himself next year
-
maybe, just maybe, eating 75% less might have something to do with loss of size as well... but according to all of you its all drugs, people that are sick and in hospital for months have a great appetite and stuff themselves like never before... one big barbeque after another...

No, but they get infusions with space food which is very dense in calories and high in protein to rebuild tissue and fit their macros and micros. A lack of the different essential nutrients is def not an issue while being in intensive care.

but nowhere near the levels of what he normally eats, and thats probably just for a short time then he's suppose to eat on himself but doesnt have much an appetite so he consumes a fraction of what he normally would
but yeah, lets say its all steroids.
-
For modern bodybuilding he doesn't look that bad really. A good solid physique. Hopefully he learns his lesson and if he's still passionate about competing go to the new mens bikini category. A good look and much easier and healthier to maintain.
-
Anybody would lose muscle spending several months in intensive care. Much less dramatic for naturals since there is less muscle to begin with, but still muscle loss.

"Baitollah Abbaspour" ???
With that name one should be killed with fire..
-
He missed his anabolic window. That's all.

this topic often gets overlooked because we are all focused on the steroids. While steroids can definitely cause health problems, eating large quantities of food for years has to account for a lot of the health problems as well. I'm sure all the meat, carbs and semen are taxing on the kidneys as well.

That's a lot of mass for someone 5'4. And it still flows fairly well. I can't help but be a bit impressed.

We are not surprised. We all knew that. We're just shocked anew on how true it is.

Strydom used to say back in the late 80's in ads in the mags that a workout without Weider's Anabolic MegaPak was a wasted workout. :-\

Yes but look Einstein drugs are a MAJOR part and with the right responsive genetics does wonders
Can't believe anyone would argue with Disgusted on here, one of the knowledgable ones
Food yes but it's mostly the drugs

Sure, health woes and a lengthy hospital stay will devastate one's physique, but still, a serious weight trainer (like, say, one who earns professional status in the world's leading bodybuilding federation) should retain a SEMBLANCE of a muscular build. If only in fundamental structure and muscle density.
In my over 30 years being involved intimately with muscle sports, it truly pains me to say, but, yeah, these "elite" bodybuilding twerps really are "all drugs".
The endless examples to prove this have become too much to deny.
I think the internet has been the biggest exposer of bodybuilding truths. The veil of mystique has been forever lifted.
Lift like any other college-age male and eat a relatively large amount of food (clean or semi-clean), but invest fully in a regime of anabolic drugs and hormones, and have a good response to said aids and a optimal natural skeletal/muscular structure, and you're 90 percent there to a pro card.
Just the way it is.
The greatest achievement is basically the sheer willingness/stupidity (take your pick) to risk it all with frightening drug/body abuse.
-
Agree 100% Fortress.
No one wants to believe it's all drugs and the only truth to that is without the genetics (meaning the ability to respond to the drugs as well as the training and dieting) drugs won't do for one guy what they do for another. Take a guy who responded well to training and eating alone and there's a good chance he'll respond well on the drugs and probably on minimal doses to begin with (which is why people hate on some of the pros who say I only use however much; these guys usually have longevity in the sport so I tend to believe them). Other guys bust our asses and no amount of drugs will ever make us look like our "heroes."

My first thought was how long did it take until he could write his name. Had to be in the fifth grade.

Hopefully Rami lamee ding dong is next up on the Road to Dialysis.

Epic pre-tanned life savers ;D ;D ;D

Being hospitalized, you'll lose some size...but it's a radical change the more drugs you were on.
I broke my ankle a few years back and thought, there go my gains. I didn't lift and just ate consistent and clean. After a month or so, I barely lost anything. A benefit of training without drugs. And at the end of the day, it must suck to know when you stop all the shots, you will lose a ton.
Another testament to drug use is, the number of people who train like pussies, yet still make tremendous gains. I see it often. No heart, just genetics, drugs, and a middle school girl lifting mentality. People always have an excuse to put in low effort. Usually, the mind muscle connection jokers doing 135 on military...weighing 220lbs lean.
Bbing is a joke these days on a whole.

Lmao

I don't know how many of you actually have had operations or serious hospital stays...
I've seen it many times, most recently my cousin who had a cyst in his intestine. Regular guy, about 5'11", 180lbs, works a normal job and is in fair shape but Does not train at all.
2 weeks in the hospital and the guy looked like Christian Bale in the machinist. So if a person who doesn't train seriously, can lose so much muscle tissue, why would a bodybuilder be exempt in the same circumstances? You stop moving and eating and who knows what else, your body will eat away at muscle tissue before anything else. Anyone in a hospital bed for weeks or months at a time goes down the same road he did...it's not up for debate.
The real test, which we probably won't see or hear about, is the first month he's out of the hospital and training and eating again (without any anabolics) and granted that he doesn't have food restrictions from his illness...I'm willing to bet he will put back on 50% of what he lost in 4-6 weeks time just by having a steady training/diet plan.
