Did I miss it?
Cliffs:
-Two convicted murderers escaped from New York prison in a plan that was like Shawshank Redemption on steroids.
-Investigators have confirmed that one of the killers is a real ladies man who is "quite frankly, well-endowed". ( Obvious Getbigger).
-Aforementioned killer apparently charmed a female prison employee into assisting with the prison break. She was married and her husband worked at the prison, too.
-Aforementioned killer was imprisoned for torturing and snapping the neck of his 76-year old former boss in retaliation for being fired.
-
This story is unbelievable. These guys have been out for almost a week and no one has seen them. All of upstate NY is on edge. One of the escapees is from Western NY, the other from the Southern tier, and the jail from which they escaped is in the northeast part of the state.
-
It really is crazy. The details of the escape are wild. It's not just two asshats who jumped a fence. This is movie-level shit.
The search has expanded to Vermont, but they might still be in the wooded area on upstate NY. I have a terrible feeling that someone is going to die at their hands while they are on the lam.

I don't think they're in Vermont. To get there from where they were, they would've needed to take a ferry across Lake Champlain, and in doing so, have to risk cops waiting for them on the other side.
-
how the fuck are they surviving with no money?

That's what's so strange. How did they get a car? It's pretty rural up there. You need wheels to get around. Yet, there's been no report of a car theft or carjacking in the area.

I think they're likely still in New York, too. The lead guy allegedly has a genius level IQ . He sounds like a psychopath.
The interesting thing about the female prison employee who was arrested is that they suspect her husband might have played a part in providing them with tools, too. T
This broad sounds like a real idiot.

How stupid would you feel to one week be the guard, the next the one being guarded. Plus she had a husband??? What an insult to the guy to fall for such a loser.

cat is under 6'6"... falcon wouldn't trust him as far as he could throw him

I just saw a pic of the female guard. Now it all makes sense...
-
I just got back from a week long camping trip in the Adirondacks. Glad these 2 didnt run into me, Didnt hear the news until I got back to civilization but that explained all the helicopters.
-
So with this happening in the States, would that not mean you could shoot them on site if you saw them?

You could do that and endure zero repercussions. You would probably be hailed as a hero for it and slay some strange because of it. Land of the free brotha

Their working theory, as of a few hours ago, is that the husband may have supplied them with some materials, too... or at least had knowledge of what she was doing. So, it's sounding more like a friendship than a sexual/emotional infatuation. At least that's what I'm inferring.

That would be awesome. Would keep it low profile in case his buddies find out. But if done in wooded area, who will see it happen besides a few of your buddies? Thing is, someone always talks and stuff like that gets out no matter what.

Governor finally admits law enforcement doesn't know where they are.

The Northeast Corridor train tracks are about 20 miles east in Plattsburgh. They had plenty of time to get there. My guess is they hopped a freight train and headed South. So, you might be onto something.

They will run out of energy soon. Unless they have a steady supply of food. They are fucked.

it's always florida. that's always the dream. they think they can just hustle by with the tourist crowd and always fit in with a new daily group of strangers, always catch a free meal with what the rich leave behind, always have an alibi for just chilling on the beach, hiding in plain sight.
Bad guys caught all the time in GA or TENN, heading south to FL. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they end up in a FL homeless camp, just keeping heads low. Cops are too lazy to get out of their cars in the summer heat down here. Bad guys can really just hide in plain sight - wouldn't surprise me if these 2 get away. Sure, bad guys usually blow it, usually do something dumb because they're self-destructive pieces of shit trying to go out loony... but in this case, with genius IQ, I can really see them getting away with it. Working landscaping in FL, hanging out in tourist traps, grow a beard, wear a hat and sunglasses with their shorts and flip flops, and just look like everyone else.

It makes sense.
Winters that far upstate in NY are brutal. Going someplace warm year 'round probably sounded real good when they were deciding where to go.

LOL! So true...

Apparently; the two killers planned to escape from the prison, and then get picked up by the female prison worker. Drive to her house and murder her husband.
Now the two prisoners are running free; and the prison worker is locked up in jail.
She lost her job. Lost her husband. Lost her freedom.

He probably used this thought for motivation to get it up when tagging that hideous she-troll of a prison guard.

There's over 1,000 piglets stumbling around upstate New York trying to find these two super felons. ::) All at a cost of $1,000,000 per day to tax payers.

It's Not the cops fault.
The blame falls on the correctional officers that freed these two convicted murders. Apparently; the tools used to escape were smuggled into the prison INSIDE FROZEN GROUND BEEF.
Multiple prison employees helped these two get free. The warden needs to be fired. The women that helped free these 2 murderers was banging them both in the walk-in refrigerator.

He had a shotgun
Looks like he stole a gun from a cabin in the woods.
Border patrol tactical team shot him.

Escaping from Prison seems to be the easy part. It's what the fuck you do when you get out that's the hard part. These prisoners are dumb. They should have let their hair grow long with big beards for the last few years. This way the media would show those photos. Then when they get out, get a nice hair cut and shave the beard and no one would be able to tell who they are.

They keep mentioning on the radio that the one killed today was hung like a horse dick, I guess they used that big tip to track him down

Makes no sense as to why... Get across the border. Get into Toronto... Grab a job, save money, pay for a boat ride to Mexico or some other non-extradition country.
Stupid.

why in the hell did they two prison employees help these two convicts to escape?

According to the seamstress who was supposed to pick them up, they were going to drive someplace 7 hrs away. Matt was from the Buffalo area which about that far from the jail. My guess is that he was gonna go back home, see relatives, get some money, then head to Mexico.

Which also would be dumb. The first place they go is to the relatives... You can walk across the border in some of the remote areas pretty damn easily.
It's not like there's barb wire and shit all over the area.
There's tons of out of the way places to cross there.

The Canadian authorities were on high alert. It's not as though these guys would've been Scott free had they made it across. There was also an agreement in place so that U.S officers could continue the search in Canada.

I'm not saying they would have been scott free, but I do believe that getting out of the more sparse areas of NY and into a larger city would have made it easier for them.
Certainly there would always be some luck for them to escape, but hanging out in more rural spaces is a guarantee you're going to get caught.

Noooo... absolutely not. They would have been caught within days, if not hours. The isolation of the area is what kept the on the lam for so long. Cops didn't know where to search. They would have had to committed more noticeable criminal activities just to make it day to day.
-
Both were caught.
Why do people escape prison? With all the technology, linkages between police forces/CIA/FBI, etc, its almost impossible to escape long-term.
Is it for the momentary bliss of freedom? Or just to say they did it?
-
Second prisoner was caught but the officer shot him knowing he was unarmed. What about the fleeing felon rule? What if it was the wrong guy? Don't white lives matter? I can only imagine the outrage if this was a black who was shot.

Yes, but when you are the only person for miles and miles and miles, you stand out quite a bit.
Difference of thought... Hopefully we never have to prove which of us has the best luck doing it.

The prisoners probably have a warped sense of how tough it really is to get away from the area....they don't realize how far away they are from the cities, towns etc.....plus we as humans are not use to living outdoors and roughing it for any long length of time......you get cold, hungry and dehydrated....and you can only travel so far due to the above before your body just totally gives out

How They Did It
From The Times. Details on the months long process to develop their escape plan.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/21/nyregion/in-new-york-prison-escape-patience-timing-and-luck-for-david-sweat.html
Night after night for months, David Sweat slipped through a hole he had sawed at the back of his cell in the Clinton Correctional Facility in northern New York. He would plumb the catacomb-like tunnels beneath the prison, where he was serving a life sentence for murder, searching for an escape route, confident that the guards would have no idea he was gone because they were asleep. Then he would return to his empty bunk.
His explorations began this past winter and continued through the spring. They took him underground almost every night for hours until he finally stumbled on what would become, through trial and error and countless hours of grueling work, his subterranean route out.
-
David Sweat, the survivor relays the story portraying himself as the driving force of the plan. Guess he was sick of his dead sidekick getting all the glory.
