Or, it could just be a couple of crazies who have beef with DPD. I remember reading about a year ago something similar down in Austin. It was one or two guys that stood outside the police headquarters and starting shooting the place up, in the middle of the night, while nobody was there. I think the police ended up taking them out. I don't remember hearing anything else about that, just some crazies who were drunk or high, or something to that effect.

This was more than one guy, apparently. If you were a paramilitary group that had amassed enough war material for an attack, knowing that it was a one-way ticket, why would you do it in such a way to ENSURE your target was unharmed? The time was chosen SPECIFICALLY because the casualties would be zero and the police could completely control the narrative.

Furthermore, American police forces are pretty tame compared to other countries.

The citizenry these days is just as out of control. A society of narcissistic, impatient out of control douche bags. Can't even flip someone off on the road without going to war when in the old days it was a birdie back with a 'fuck you' and that was that. Some of these perils just happen to get jobs as police officers. So I think these things are inevitable. Who knows, maybe it's unfortunately even necessary. Like clemenza said in godfather, gets all the bad blood out.

This whole thing seems very uneventful, but the media is scraping to make it into something.
Crazy man with mental illness has history with the police, and blames them for taking his kid away. Crazy man purchases an armored van. He goes to DPD headquarters at 0030 and shoots out a few windows, rams a cop car, and then leads them on a chase, finally stopping in a parking lot. Snipers shoot him through the windshield. He had a few pipe bombs. Nobody injured except the crazy man who is dead.
Anything else? ??? Seems like the exact same thing that happened in Austin. WTF are they putting in the water down there in TX?

I just don't get it. I've never had the slightest problem with the po-po. I've gotten a handful minor moving violations over the last 30 years or so when I was clearly guilty, but I've never had any actual problems with any of them. I've even had several of them let me go several times over the years when they'd pulled me over after I'd been drinking.
Never been harassed, assaulted, beaten, threatened, or anything else. The closest thing to a complaint I can muster is that I once called them years ago when someone stole the wheels off my car one night when I slept over at a girlfriend's apartment, and they were never able to find the little bastards who did it.
What am I doing wrong?
