may i suggest some other exercises for example bench press where you dont press but rather just hold the bar

We don't try out strongman lifts. You become a big strong fucker and then you compete in strongman contest. Those candy ass Crossfit style "strongman" events are embarrassing.
And the Farmers walk- start with the 100's in your gym. Work up to the 200's. Walk with them. Walk across the gym and then turn and walk back. Then compete and carry real thing.
