Vince, you know I've always respected you as a man and bodybuilder.
BUT, I was curious about how many men were entered in the Mr Canada contest you won in 1970?
The only pics I've ever seen is you posing and getting the trophy by yourself.
I assumed other men were entered in the show, but now I'm not so sure.

I'm 100% serious on this one. I really want to know.
I don't care who the guy beat, but , I think it important to know he beat someone.

May 31, 1970 at the John Oliver Auditorium in Vancouver. I have seen 18 men listed as entries, though not that many appeared in the contest report, which listed three in the short category and three in the tall. Vince won the tall and the overall. There was also a junior category and another title- whcih Vince also won.

I was hopeful someone might provide some legit info on this...and they just did.
Perhaps, Vince can now add his own thoughts on his winning experience.

I checked my files and found the contest was covered in Iron Man, and I had filed it. I have most contests filed.

Contest was real however Vince Basile stated that he hand-picked the judges and organized the entire event.
