This. Paul Dillett should be on that list.

This. Paul Dillett should be on that list.
He came pretty close to nailing it a couple of times, even when he wasn't carried offstage :D But apart from '93 and '96, I don't recall him being near as ripped as he could be -- apart, maybe, at one of the '97 GP shows? Ah, who can remember.
-
Kai gets close enough, shouldn't be on the list.
Wolf is a hit and miss at times.
Bob Chic should be #1 of that list.

Edgar Fletcher and Victor Richards.

Vic only competed once and that was in a weak field ( Nigerian nationals).
Vic was impressive but I wouldn't consider him a competitive bodybuilder.
Edgar Fletcher was like Matt Mendanhall during that era.
Both were big, wide and with sweeping quads, but always looked a bit smooth under the lights.
-
RORY LIDERMEYER was either right there close or off flat'smooth

Twice, He lost to Gaspari. Claimed he was turned off from competing after that. I think he just didn't hv the willpower to diet & he wouldn't hv done any damage as a pro. As impressive as he was in a few poses from the front, he was even more unimpressive in his back poses. You'll never see a picture of his back online.

he never tried & didn't really have to lol. He made good money guest posing & doing seminars. Don't get me wrong, his size was extremely impressive especially for 20+ yrs ago. Made Dorian look like a kid when he guestposed next to him.
Btw, Kai doesn't belong on that list. He's nailed his condition far more frequently than he's missed.
-
Dennis James (5 times Mr pre-Olympia tank top winner).
Trey Brewer.
dennis nailes his condition just fine as a amateur
-
Back shots of Vic Richards
His back sucked , high lat , not that wide. Same with Paul Dillett all delts and arms
-
Maybe it's not that they can't nail it, but that maybe their genetics don't allow for an ultra ripped physique? ???
-

Bob Chic should be #1 of that list.
Chick nailed it once when he won his Pro Show

Is his penis semi-erected or just too short to hang?

He's not nailing much of anything with that! :o
-
RORY LIDERMEYER was either right there close or off flat'smooth
Yup, guy had Mr. O. potential. My biggest disappointment of never getting to see on an IFBB stage.
-
Would add Akim Williams. He's competing this weekend guy has insane potential see if he can nail it.
-
How could Victor Richards be a mention? He never competed!
-

thanks for posting straight on back poses not the twisting shots posted earlier designed to hide a weak back. His back was very weak. Dillette's back was weak also but he was much better, his calves, hams, delts, biceps & triceps were outstanding from the back.
-
He came close ....

Didn't he try to come back in the early/mid '90s? Some of those later gym shots where he has the Tarzan hair he looks AMAZING, but the only on-stage pic I could find he looked narrow and his physique just looked ...off.
Would like to know the story there.

yeah he looked good there huge but never could get the 'stage 'look the yr he went neck to neck with paris they both looked insane...thats why the lighter class guys back then 80/90's builds the top 10 in those nationals and usa's were loaded with great builds,lighweight/middles/welters look like death up close in loose shirts but magic happens onstage under lights 'illussion'stage look needed opposite than the 'hype'big guy amateurs in tank top in gym look unbeatable but lose flow onstage .
