What stack are you going to put her on?

Should be interesting, except we all know that no one can last more than a few seconds against Rhonda.  I think she trains in Glendale, California.    But did have a great time the last time she fought (we were there at Staples) .... all 14 seconds of it.

She can't take anything. She has to drop her weight too low. She has to lose muscle to make weight.

He's her stand up coach not S&C. And I didn't say I was...yet. And yes, I know him. She also trains at Punishment which is across the street from my gym as well as her conditioning at the same school where I have my speed clinics. I see and speak with her usually during that time.

Beef,

Respectfully, take a breather.

Give Coach a break. It's a bit incessant at this point and we don't want forum stalking.

Just for clarification purposes, Coach did not ask for any help with this matter, nor did he report you. I am just trying to go through all the threads and notice this is going down and we don't want to derail this thread with attacks between the two of you.

Lets have fun guys.

If you put out a reward for his information, other guys who might want to do the same to you will assume it's all fair game.

Take Chris' money. Big deal.

The only people left qualified to fight RRR are men.

Chris tried stalking my page for a while with her B.S.... I'll tell you right now, it will not end well. BTW, when did you become a submission specialist?

The only training that Chris could possibly do to benefit her in a "Fight" (few short seconds) with Ronda is to learn how to deal with a broken arm.

You might want to help create a better image of "it" also by pulling the man-woman off the Test.

I used to enjoy participating in track and field, basketball, and baseball.  I am unable to do any of those anymore. I would rather play than watch and to be honest professional athletics has gotten too weird for me.   For example, the celebratory acts done in the end zone are ridiculous to me and the way someone behaves after a tackle?  Again, ridiculous.

I cannot go back in time so  for the greater part I spend the present listening to music or sometimes reading.  I know...Sort of a Scrooge of Sports, huh?   ;D

When I did, it was the Cards but I don't much watch anything.  I have TV for my movie collection and no cable hookup in that room as I found TV to be awful.  My older brother is a Giants fan.  My younger brother played semi-pro in Ohio for a while.

I am the least athletic which is probably why I took up bodybuilding.   ;D

I am the least athletic which is probably why I took up bodybuilding.   ;D

Ha! Sounds like my big bro.

Bump...

In short when I started working with athletes I mentored under Bob Ward, he was the former S&C coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Thats when I found out that training athletes was more than just lifting weights. Everyday after warm ups he would put the team as well as individual athletes through speed drills. It was then when I started learning about zero step, first step, stride, set up, arm action, forced application, change of direction, bio-mechanics as it applys to speed, etc. After he retired I kept learning through reading, attending clinics at various D1 colleges, DVD's visiting other coachs, reading, learning about Charlie Francis, going to and observing to Chris Carlisle, Tommy Moffitt, Duane Carlisle among others. For about 9 years I've ran camps and clinics on most weekends from 10 years old to pros including combine prep. I have written two fairly extensive speed templates for both beginning and advanced including drills and direction to help prevent injury during on field play.

In other words, no actual degree in this stuff?

There is no "degree" in speed development. And even if there was....like EVERYTHING else the real learning doesn't start until after you get your degree. Remember what a "degree" is? It means you met the minimum requirements to get that piece of paper.

"Education. Typical job listings for a college-level strength and conditioning coach require a B.A. degree in a related field such as exercise science or human performance, but a master's degree is always preferred. Having a master’s degree will often give you a significant advantage over those who do not have a post-graduate degree."

Are you ready to lose this argument in the most humiliating way? Yes or no?

You mean as a kid that's gone to school for 4 years with and learned from a book with no real practical experience as opposed to someone who has been doing this for 15 + years....I'm over qualified. Hope this helps.

I guess that would mean that chris Carlisle (two national championship, two Super Bowl appearances with one win) and Tommy Moffitt (three national championships (two with LSU, one with Tennessee) haven't met those requirements as well?

You've also mentioned Bill Gates in the past. Odd that you think  that your being uneducated somehow imbues you with their accomplishments, as if these accomplishments are shared with yourself.

Answer my question. Based on your assumptions those two coaches aren't qualified either.

Reading a Charlie Francis biography doesnt quite make a person an expert on speed.

Well Coach, you said you mentored and read up on speed training, but with little due respect, you're not exactly a deep thinker.

I will let it go. I'm sure there are many potential pro NFLers that seek you out before the Combine to improve their 40 time.

Ok...not quite sure what you're looking for here. When ever I see or hear someone make a comment that ends with "I'll let it go" that usually means they cannot fully explain why they made that comment in the first place. Unlike most I like to try and back things up when i get called out (which is frequently) but when I do get called out and qualify my position I get (after the derogatory comment) "I'll just let it go". Either you can back your comment or you can't. Which is it?

Which part would you like me to back up? That you're not a deep thinker? You've proven that here countless times. That you're one of, if not the, dumbest people on this board? Your body of work makes that point for me. That your entire knowledge about speed training comes from a couple two-day clinics and reading a Charlie Francis book? You just admitted that yourself - bragged about it actually. That the "coaching" you provide is nothing more than plagiarized material from others who are proven experts in the field? That one is obvious to anyone with half a brain in their head.

I don't really care Coach, live in your own world and justify things however you need to. You are an embarrassment on this board and really, your lack of intelligence is nothing more than a source of humor on Getbig.

Yep, back it all up. Not sure how you got a couple of "2 day clinics" out of 15 years of working with athletes. Plagerized? I can guarantee that the templates that were put into my own system were not plagiarized and can't be found anywhere on the net. You dumbshit. That's like saying everything you were taught in school was just regurgitated. I said I read and studied Charlie Francisis works I didn't say I applied all of his teachings to my own system. I'm not a fucking track coach. When was the last time you saw a football or baseball player start out the blocks? You're making this too easy. Step it up.

Time for a little perspective here

Joe believes his career as a tire flipping coach makes him more successful than the POTUS

the bottom quote is the best

delusions of grandeur much?

Oh I promise you junior that I'm not even a more legit coach than Obama is a president. I'm also a more successful coach by 10fold compared to his career in government. He's failed in every position in government he's been including what he does now (whatever the fuck that is). Even when I get hired for coaching jobs I get vetted and finger printed. He'd a supposed "president" and he's never been vetted. Gee, I wonder why??

Yeah , I caught the mistake but what you of all people know what I'm talking about. No, he was never properly vetted. You know, I know, he knows it the world knows it. And yes, my accomplishments as a coach surpasses his as a public servant. It's not even something to be argued but I'm sure someone will.

my point is that Repubs actually call obama a winner on a daily basis - they claim his goal was to destroy usa and weaken economy and grow dem voter numbers.  And each day, they tell us he's wrecking the country, letting illegals in to vote dem, and weakening our national credit rating and standing.

yes we all know you believe he has destroyed the country and that was his intention (not sure why he would want to destroy the country where he and his family will continue to live or what he would get out of destroying it in the first place but we'll just ignore that for now)

only problem is that no one can see the destruction and can actually see the opposite (at least compared to what it looked like when he took office)

CEOs of publicly traded companies usually get fired when they deserve such a fate.

The fact that Obama was elected twice says a great deal about America.

As for things now vs 7 years ago, you can credit the Fed and the treasury for saving the sinking ship, and it was pretty much all done before Obama ever even stepped into office. The recession actually ended very early into his first term, yet those who wrongly give him credit for saving the world still blame Bush for the obvious signs of weakness in a fragile economy still being propped up by an unprecedented 7 years of zero interest rates.

Things were very good from '03 through most of '07 - not because of Bush, but because of a real estate boom / bubble that played a heavy role in the financial boom / bubble and crash. Private sector greed and stupidity were factors, but so were bad laws put into place long before '07-'08.

If we should see a similar crash during Obama's last year and a half in office, those who credit him wrongly with saving the world, with the stock market regaining its '07 record highs plus another 30%, and with the price of oil being significantly lower than it was during the first six years of his term will once again blame Bush for any crash that would come under Obama.

That aside, it mainly comes down to what is important to you. If you like less military spending, more entitlements, more regulations, and higher taxes overall, Obama is your man. If you prefer a stronger military, fewer regs, and lower taxes overall, that was Bush. But both claim to be Christian and spend / spent far too much, and neither are / were for strong borders. Dems want more voters. Some Repubs want more consumers and cheap workers for their businesses - and seem to be willing to give up political power for those things.

I wasn't a fan of Bush, but I can say that his priorities were more in line with mine. I just wish he'd taken the oil if he had to get us in that mess. Obama seems to stand for just about everything I am against and is against just about everything I am for.
