The new IBF Middleweight World Champion is a murderous puncher !!!
Highlights from last Saturday !!!
Highlights from his boxing career !!!
-
Wild punching. No control. No chance.
That guy stood there the whole clip to get hit. GGG won't.
-
way to open for GGG he would get his head knocked off.
-
Lemieux is a fun fighter to watch and has very good power, along with great killer instinct. Ultimately, he's too slow and doesn't have the chin to truly be a threat to GGG. Always have a punchers chance though.
-
Hardly a great puncher
12 round decision isnt a great puncher.

Nonesense. So by that rationale Joe Louis, George Forman, Mike Tyson, Sonny Liston, Kaosai Galaxy, Julian Jackson, Marvin Hgler, Archie Moore, SR Robinson and Thomas Hearns were not great punchers either since all had to go 12 rounds at some time in their careers?
Limeux is good and an excellent puncher. He has improved tremendously since his losses a few years back..... But he's not ready for GGG yet. Limieux is young and hasnt reached his full potential yet though.

All those people went the distance because they couldnt connnect with a clean shot.
That guy connected with full on haymakers numerous times and the guy got straight back up, not once was he concussed by a punch, guys head was clear as soon as he got up.
-
Punches hard, but about as controlled as bradistani at a tranny buffet.
-
Lemieux is a good puncher but he's not in the same league as GGG. I wouldn't rate Lemieux much higher than Proksa and we all saw what GGG did to him.

Too many hooks will wreck your shoulders

Lemieux has little more than a punchers chance against GGG. He was KOd by Rubio a few years back. He is great, but not world class.
-
as others have said, Lemieux great fighter to watch but different league entirely to GGG
GGG to unify before moving up to SMW even though i think Froch will retire and duck Golovkin.
but still Andre Ward, DeGale, Dirrell, Groves, big fights and big money to be made.
actually id be surprised if Cotto agrees to GGG at middle. that would be huge if it happens but Cotto likely to drop down for Canelo.
literally nobody else at middle is a test for him.

cotto seems to have revitalized himself, however, I think he has little chance at even finishing a fight against GGG. Gennady will have to move to 168 to get good money fights. I don't know where Ward is at because he fought a total beer can last weekend, but Froch already said he wants nothing of GGG. As for Lemieux, he could face quillin or lee. Both would be fun fights. He could enjoy a decent reign at middleweight if GGG moves up. There's a few guys at middle weight coming up, but no names that jump out at me off the top of my head.

Ward Glolovkin would be an interesting fight and certainly a great test for GGG, he would be by far the best opponent he would have faced, classic puncher vs boxer, no doubt he tags him he wins, but wards movement and speed would make it interesting.
He's too big for may weather, and lets face it, Floyd don't fight no one in their prime, he's the modern day Roy Jones, lets just hope like Roy he keeps spending his money and has to go back to the ring and take meaningful fights when he's on the slide and get his butt knocked out.

i think Lemieux beats Lee, i've followed Lee for a while and he isn't even the best domestic middleweight let alone world. i think Billy Joe Saunders is next and Saunders wins that, Eubank Jr beats Lee too for me.
yeah it was really odd from Ward wanting the fight at catch weight, on a different planet to Smith in class but still wanted that weight advantage being the naturally heavier guy.
Smith has never fought above 168, natural middleweight and Ward pound 4 pound one of the best, olympic gold at light heavy still wanting it at 172 despite dominating SMW?
he didn't need any help with the weight, can brush aside Smith at any weight so could have easily had it at 168 and not handicap Smith.
i think that's why Smith came in over, probably thought he'd go all out looking for that power shot. nobody miscalculates that bad! 6lbs over is deliberate.
they fought at cruserweight in the end...i wonder if Ward will duck Kovalev at light heavy. no excuses now for Ward.
that would be amazing to see - Kovalev vs Ward
imho i think Ward has the beating of GGG at SMW. powerhouse at Middle but not sure it will translate to SMW and even then Ward is miles above anyone GGG has fought in the pro ranks.
hopefully Kovalev and Adonis gets made, that surely has to be done and that really will be fight of the year - deserves the attention FMW and Pac got.

Lemieux is a very entertaining fighter to watch. He does swing for the fences, but so does GGG. If/when they fight, the advantage will go to the guy that watches the most fight tape and spends more time learning to counter the other's bombs. If they stand and swing toe to toe a-la Ward/Gotti, GGG will walk away a winner because his cranium is cromagnon-like. Fcukers skull must titanium. I think GGG needs a few more fight in order to suffer a bit more brain damage before he fights Lemieux. Simply b/c I'm a Canuck and would be rooting or Lemieux.
