PRO DIVISION INC ANNOUNCES CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
Pro Division Inc announced today the ways in which athletes can participate in Pro Division Inc competitions/events.
Wayne S. DeMilia, CEO of Pro Division Inc states, “We have been inundated with requests from athletes encompassing every point on the globe. We are totally elated from the massive response we have received from interested athletes. We have formulated a program to be not only open and progressive, but also honest and fair.”
Pro Division Inc will consider for pro status in their program athletes who meet the following criteria.
Any male athlete who has achieved pro status from any other organization.
Any male athlete who has won a national or international title from any other organization.
In addition, because we have received so many requests from amateur athletes wishing to participate in our events, we have set up a program to achieve that goal.
Pro Division Inc will promote each year a series of “Amateur Pro Qualifiers.” These events will be run for the sole purpose of amateur athletes achieving pro status in Pro Division Inc.
The first three of such events will be promoted on the following dates and locations:
1. Florida August 11-12
2. Las Vegas August 25-26
3. New York City September 15
Each event will have five weight divisions, and for our first year, the top two in each weight division will receive pro status. Weight divisions are as follows:
Up to 175 pounds
Over 175, up to and including 190 pounds
Over 190, up to and including 205 pounds
Over 205, up to and including 220 pounds
Over 220 pounds
The Sports Act of 1978, and a subsequent ruling on the matter in 1983, has given amateur athletes the right to compete in any organization any time they wish without fear of threats or reprisals.
Anyone wishing to join Pro Division Inc should do so by contacting us at prodivisioninc@yahoo.com. Our next press release will announce our fall contest schedule.

I guess it is real. ::) ;D

Right, and the WBF guys will tell you that's been strongly enforced in bodybuilding.

He is talking amatuer level athletes only.
-
so do the amateur athletes have to be from the US only or do amatuers from around the world who want to qualify have to fly to the US to enter these 3 shows ???
-

What's your point? You think any NPC athlete who competes in this league will ever win a pro-qualifier in the NPC after that?
-
I can't believe I'm actually going to get my PRO CARD on September 15th!!!! SWEET!!!

Am I reading this right? The name of the organization, for the sport of professional bodybuilding is: Pro Division Incorporated.

Almost sounds like the kind of name some douchebag from San Diego would come up with.

yeah, that name is boring. unless they buy the names from me (at a terrific price) I just wanna use the page to give the viewers an unbiased view of the organization, the events, etc. I hope it does well.
Of course, much like the titus site, I'll spend too much time on it, someone will make me an offer I cannot refuse, and it will fall into more talented hands in no time.
-
I play in the NFL... National Football League
I play for MLB... Major League Baseball
I fight for the WBC... World Boxing Organization
I compete in the PDI... Pro Division Inc
I race in the USCF... United States Cycling Federation
The name of the organization should have the name of the sport in it's name. Just my $0.02.

I think Demilla is from New York. :)

I emailed De Milla tonight.
Told him best of luck with the new federation.
Website for sale, and I'd rather it go to him than the IFBB rep that will be emailing me in the AM about buying the site.
-
Is there even a standard to enter the qualifiers?
-

My point? That he was talking about amatuers of course, silly mr 9 posts. ::)

$620. is cheap
-
Hmm.. how could they be so stupid as to continue using that yahoo email address.
Obviously they do not have anybody decent doing web work for them
Plenty of opportunity there
-

$620 is the fair market value this morning, based upon the future earning potential.
Each day, as I spend time on the site building, growing, and marketing www.prodivisionbodybuild ing.com, its value- and therefore price- will increase.

You forget they are using a yahoo email address :)
I suggest you offer to consult for them because they obviously are lacking it.
I mean, this is essentially the only way you can protect your investment
Otherwise its a huge waste of time.

I think alot of yous guys ares underestimating Wayne. There are a lot of IFBB guys who have awesome physiques that don't get a break. There's no reason that guys like Ronnie Rockel, Jason Arntz, and yes, even Mustafa Mohammed should continue to compete in the IFBB when they could move to PDI and make some money, earn some press, get better endorsement deals, and improve their lives. Once guys like Freeman and Johnnie Jackson see those guys winning contests, making far more money than themselves and earning better deals, they will follow. Once Ronnie and the rest of the old school step down (Cormier and the other 38 year olds), what will be the difference anyway.
Personally I think it will be good for the sport and the athletes.

au contraire my friend!
Friday at 3:00 pm EST the value of my site will double.
Ye shall see. Pro Division Bodybuilding is very real and some names you know will be making the jump.

Yeah, but you forget that DeMilia might have burned a few people because of his shrewd business style along the road to promoting the O...
He comes across as shrewder than 240's website pimping.
-
No they won't.
If they compete in a "Pro Division" event, they'll never be able to compete in the IFBB again, nor will they get any publicity in the mags.
On top of which, many of their sponsors have clauses in their contracts which require them to compete in the IFBB.
So, even if they're willing to take the gamble that the "pro division" will still be around in another year or two, the minute they jump they probably lose their existing sponsorships, as well as their ability to do autograph signing/ sell merchandise at IFBB events, as well as their ability to guest pose at NPC events. In other words, they lose most or all of their income instantly.
Even if they want to, none of these guys will go with "Pro division"... the IFBB literally owns them.
Damn boy, you got it all figured out. Better email Wayne and tell him he's wasting his time. ::)
-
Wayne might have burnt a few bridges but he BUILT allot more. He made the Olympia. He has been doingthis along time. You don't last that long without making some contacts. He wouldn't have done this without some support and backing. He has some things in his back pocket believe me. Already he is involved with the ASC. This soon will be a Pro Division event not an IFBB. That will immediately change allot of things.
-
I would, but it wouldn't do any good.
Better he finds out on his own.
It's a situation kinda like you thinking Kamali is going to place top 5... there will be no convincing you until you lose $500 on the deal.
Life must be tough for such a wise person like you. ::)
-
You would be very surprised who is planning to make the jump ;)
It's not just the 'tier 3' guys
-

Get out of here! ::)
Arnold will never turn his back on the Weiders.
-
If the ASC jumps then things will get interesting.
That's about the only thing that would make this fly.... I bet Jim and Arnold have told wayne to start his federation and they'll consider it once they get a look at his product. His problem will be impressing them on a low budget with hardly any top pros.
Jim and Arnold are about the $ so wayne has his work cut out for him.
-

Saying/planning and actually doing it are two very different things.
How many times have you screwed someone and promised you'd call?
A wait and see approach is the smart move unless they are offering you a large upfront contract which they aren't. Especially with only $25 grand first prize money shows...
-
The Pro DIvision will receive plenty of magazine coverage. Plus, they will receive a huge amount of TV coverage since Wayne is very tight with that aspect. The IFBB gets relatively no TV exposure. Wayne's shows are also going to be more of a SHOW that the Olympia. Allot more stuff to do and things to see. I can't wait. The pros are going to be able to make allot more money at actual shows with autographs, pictures etc. Bye Bye IFBB. God I hope they get a good athletes rep though.

Umm...
I have never "screwed someone and promised I would call'
I'm not a whore like your mom - sorry.

If wayne is such a genius how come his chicago fitness expo was a TOTAL bust?
Major TV coverage today equals drug testing.
Drug testing equals something that isn't bodybuilding.
Bodybuilding is like rave culture. It exists because of a certain type of drug (Rave=ecstacy, BBing=Steroids). The public knows it why not just admit it?
They used to talk about the steroids the guys took DURING the NBC coverage of the olympia!

Umm...
I have never "screwed someone and promised I would call'

Go back to church and pray for the pro division they need it trust me
-
steroids and drugs are a reality, its not as if it isn't a level playing field if you want to look at it that way.
-
As for Arnold and Jim Lorimer not turning their backs. Guess who is doing the live
pay per view and and contest coverage for TV. I'ts good old Wayne. Follow the money!
-
Jeez, not Arnolds money. The money Wayne is making from this deal!
-
bump
-
Wayne has his foot in the door with the ASC. He did the PPV this year for the Martial Arts and was hugely successful. Just wait till it turns into a PDI event.
