Illegal immigration certainly is an issue. The best way to deal with it, I could not tell you. My day to day dealings with Mexicans are mostly very positive, so I can't say Im opposed to living in or amongst them. That being said, I don't like the fact that millions of them will cross the border illegally and in 20-30 years control the majority vote. TV networks for the most part suck a big fat cock and they absolutely have an agenda so I'm glad Trump is telling them to piss off.

Damn. Well, good for him.
And my view on illegal aliens is not a very positive one. In my line of work, I deal with Mexicans on a weekly basis. I would say ( and I am being VERY fair ) 99 % of them are illegal. And I know this for fact because I have asked their employers. I would ask them, but their English is very poor. Plus, I highly doubt they would tell me the truth, for obvious reasons.
Btw, where do you think their money goes ? This should be an easy answer.

Here are five facts about the unauthorized immigrant population in the U.S.
1. There were 11.2 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. in 2012, a total unchanged from 2009, and currently making up 3.5% of the nation’s population. (Preliminary estimates show the population was 11.3 million in 2013.) The number of unauthorized immigrants peaked in 2007 at 12.2 million, when this group was 4% of the U.S. population.
Number of unauthorized immigrants from Mexico declines since 2007 peak.
2. Mexicans make up about half of all unauthorized immigrants (52%), though their numbers have been declining in recent years. There were 5.9 million Mexican unauthorized immigrants living in the U.S. in 2012, down from 6.4 million in 2009, according to Pew Research Center estimates. Over the same time period, the number of unauthorized immigrants from Asia, the Caribbean, Central America and a grouping of countries in the Middle East, Africa and some other areas grew slightly (unauthorized immigrant populations from South America and Europe/Canada did not change significantly).
3. Six states alone account for 60% of unauthorized immigrants—California, Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Illinois. But the distribution of the population is changing. From 2009 to 2012, several East Coast states were among those with population increases, whereas several Western states were among those with population decreases. There were seven states overall in which the unauthorized immigrant population increased: Florida, Idaho, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Meanwhile, there were 14 states in which the population decreased over the same time period: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Mexico, New York and Oregon. Despite a decline, Nevada has the nation’s largest share (8%) of unauthorized immigrants in its state population.
4. Unauthorized immigrants make up 5.1% of the U.S. labor force. In the U.S. labor force, there were 8.1 million unauthorized immigrants either working or looking for work in 2012. Among the states, Nevada (10%), California (9%), Texas (9%) and New Jersey (8%) had the highest shares of unauthorized immigrants in their labor forces.
5. About 7% of K-12 students had at least one unauthorized immigrant parent in 2012. Among these students, about eight-in-ten (79%) were born in the U.S. In Nevada, almost one-in-five students (18%) have at least one unauthorized immigrant parent, the largest share in the nation. Other top states on this measure are California (13%), Texas (13%) and Arizona (11%).

trump was a lifelong democrat/liberal. it's well-documented.
Then in 2008, he decided there was something about obama eh didn't like - and he dedicated 8 years to dissing obama. He's a populist with no real emotion about conservative positions. He simply adopted every anti-obama and "whatever the most popular issue of the day is"... Seeing Eric Cantor booted for being soft on amnesty, and seeing polls, Trump knew being anti-amnesty was the #1 top populist position with repub base.
he has no firm beliefs on anything. He just runs on 1) anti obama and 2) whatever it hot with base voters right now.

They just seem to complain about Mexicans, but at least they do the shit work no one else will. I know a few restaurant owners who say that when they put up a job posting, they only get Mexicans that apply. They never get blacks or white people looking to be a dishwasher or busboy.
These same guys that complain about immigrants are also lobbying congress for visas to bring in a shit load of Indians and Asians for jobs.

There is no dishonor in honest work, even it if some deem it "shit". I've dug ditches, done yard work, put in fences, picked fruit and vegetables, washed dishes and am 100% American but then I was raised to know the joy of a work ethic by parents that also had no problem working for a living.
If you are here illegally, get the hell out and then work within the proper channels to come here legally. Mexicans are considered "white". Laws are colorblind.
Or they should be.

Keeping It Reelz.
NEW YORK -- The Miss USA pageant, left without a TV home following blowback against co-owner Donald Trump over his comments on Mexican immigrants, has been rescued by the Reelz channel.
In a statement Thursday, Reelz CEO Stan E. Hubbard said the cable and satellite channel acquired the rights because of a belief that the pageant and the women who compete in it "are an integral part of American tradition."
"As one of only a few independent networks, we decided to exercise our own voice and committed ourselves to bringing this pageant to American viewers everywhere," Hubbard said.
While Reelz, which reaches 70 million homes, said it considered the interests of Miss USA contestants, the host city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and viewers in making its decision, it made no mention of Trump or the hot water he's found himself in since he announced his presidential bid in June.

San Francisco (CNN) Kate Steinle was walking on a busy pier in San Francisco with her father when there was a single popping sound in the air.
She fell to the ground, struck by a bullet, the victim of what police say appears to be a random killing.
The man accused of firing the deadly shot -- 45-year-old Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez -- is an undocumented immigrant, a repeat felon who has been deported five times to Mexico, according to immigration officials.
It would have been six, a federal law enforcement source told CNN, except authorities in San Francisco wanted him on a drug-related warrant.
So U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which had Lopez-Sanchez in its custody in March after his release from federal prison, turned him over to San Francisco deputies. ICE said they requested an immigration detainer, asking that the agency be notified before Lopez-Sanchez was released.

Latino Leader On Donald Trump: He Is ‘Exposing A Lot Of The Dirty Truths Of The Republican Party’
“Donald Trump’s remarks are very racially charged and should have no place in the American political dialogue of today,” Arturo Carmona, the executive director of Latino advocacy group Presente Action, told ThinkProgress. “In a way, it’s good that we have somebody that’s actually speaking the truth like Donald Trump about what’s really motivating many of these policies. I’d rather have somebody like Trump be honest about what the motivations are than have the GOP and Congress hiding behind political rhetoric, but at the same time, passing policies that are criminalizing immigrants and trying to take away executive action protections.”

many politicians these days act offended. all of the time. 24/7, they're outraged and disgusted and hurt and offended by some statement, some flag, some t-shirt, etc.
Trump isn't acting like a wimp, in a time when the other 99% of candidates (and yes, we can find tape of everyone else in the race on both sides doing it) are doing it.
So maybe he does well in debates and primaries simply because he's not demanding apologies and concessions all day - he's demanding action. Sure, he's wrong a lot of the time, and arrogant to the point of eventual self-destruction, but that whole "not whining 24/7" is a great thing for many repub voters that want less feigned outrage, more clint eastwood in their canddiates.

Donald Trump surges to first place in North Carolina
(http://thehill.com/sites/default/files/styles/article_full/public/blogs/trumpdonald_022715gn.jpg?itok=n6ja8H3y)
Donald Trump is leading the Republican field in North Carolina, according to a poll released Wednesday.
The billionaire businessman has the support of 16 percent of GOP primary voters in the Tar Heel State in the latest survey from left-leaning Public Policy Polling (PPP).
The poll comes with Trump mired in controversy over his recent remarks on Hispanics and immigration from Mexico.
Former Gov. Jeb Bush (Fla.) and Gov. Scott Walker (Wis.) trail him in the PPP poll with 12 percent support each. Former Gov. Mike Huckabee (Ark.) is third, with 11 percent.
PPP found Trump has a 55 percent favorability rating with a 32 percent rating him unfavorably.
Trump is especially popular with “very conservative voters,” PPP found, with 66 percent of them seeing him favorably versus 24 percent who hold a negative view. He also claims 29 percent support among younger voters and 20 percent support with men.
Trump sparked controversy during his presidential campaign launch last month, when he said Mexico was "sending people who have a lot of problems" over the border to the U.S.
"They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists," he said. "And some, I assume, are good people."
Despite that controversy, Trump has done well in early GOP polls, placing second in a survey in Iowa and another in New Hampshire — both early voting states.
Wednesday's PPP poll also found retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) tied at 9 percent each, followed by Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) at 7 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) snagged 6 percent, while Gov. Chris Christie (N.J.) took 5 percent.
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina received 4 percent, trailed by Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Gov. Bobby Jindal (La.) and former Sen. Rick Santorum (Pa.), who all tied at 1 percent support.
Gov. John Kasich (Ohio) and former Gov. George Pataki (N.Y.) finish out the field with less than 1 percent support each.
Hillary Clinton remains the top Democratic pick for North Carolina’s primary voters, PPP found.
The former secretary of State currently has 55 percent of voters’ support there.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is in second at 22 percent. Former Sen. Jim Webb (Va.) then takes 7 percent, while former Govs. Lincoln Chafee (R.I.) and Martin O’Malley (Md.) are tied at 4 percent.
PPP surveyed 529 registered primary voters from July 2-6 for its latest sampling. The poll has a 5.8-percentage-point margin of error. That total includes 288 GOP primary voters and 286 Democratic primary voters.

Its crazy that Trump is leading in any poll, but he is the only one whose statnces are rooted in reality as opposed to the socialist rhetoric spouted by the "politicians".
Crazy but if the elections were tomorrow, I would vote for him and bully all my friends to do the same. The way the country is going, a change is needed.
But do you guys, knowing Trump, Think he would actually do any of the stuff he says right now?
Remember Obama? I actually thought he was different (sad I know)...... If I saw him today, I'd throw a shoe at him ;D

Yup - Obama gave us the hope of change without ruffling any feathers. Yet he didn't even attempt to follow through on that.
Trump offers "fuck you" change, which I think people may actually relate to. Mostly because of Nobama.
-
the one compelling thing about trump - the compelling thing about working with unique people - when they dont NEED the job.
if jeb doesn't get the nomination, he's the one bush that Failed at it.
If Rubio doesnt get the nomination, his window closes and he goes back to being an ineffective senator with no legislative accomplishments trying to pretend he's tea party while voting RINO, in a tea party state. He could lose next time based on the immigration angle alone.
If TRUMP doesn't win the nomination, he still wakes up a billionaire with supermodel wife and one of the most popular people in USA who could have another show instantly on any network he chooses. He doesn't NEED the presidency.. if anything, it's a major pay cut. These other wimps are playing like they have everything to lose, and they do. Trump has nothing to lose. He's already won $9 billion times. he could take a 15 point lead by the time the debates arrive, IF he doesn't turn into an apologetic wimp, which I think will eventually happen. MEDIA is BEGGING for "trump turned into a wimp" and keeps asking him to apologize. I hope he continues not to.
The lovely thing is watching the repubs on getbig political board - they called him a sideshow joke early on, and now they're kneepadding him, saying he's amazing and they wanna blow him.
-
Trump has the testicular fortitude to do what Reagan did. Say, "There you go again" to the idiotic anti-American libtards that populate both parties. American need not apologize for anything.
-

they are both good in front of a camera, but let's be honest, outside of a few controlled badass moments, reagan was a puppy dog. It's been well documented he was showing senile moments during debates in 84, many doctors have analyzed videos and said dementia was present then. Once he was re-elected, Reagan got way worse and pretty much just read speeches on his good days and let Bush1 kick ass with the USA.
Reagan is remembered in a far shinier light than was reality. He did a lot of lib things, he spent a shitload of $ and 'saved economy' by just adding more GOVT jobs which future generations would have to pay for. Reagan is why we have many of today's problems.
In 40 years, people will romanticize the brave Dubya Bush as fearless, bold and brave in the face of bin laden and saddam. Watch and see. Those of us watching the news each day at the time know he was unpopular, fumbling, and shit in a lot of areas. Our country hasn't had heroes in a long time, so the sanitization of Reagan was inevitable.
-
Just watched his full speech in Arizona. If I had a vote he would get it.
Most politicians are in it to make money. Look at that c.unt Tony Blair earning millions after being prime minister. The holy devout catholic who slaughtered millions in an illegal invasion of 2 countries. Now he makes tens of millions from public speaking, book deals etc and being a peace envoy for fuck sake!!
That's why politicians don't want to rock the boat, they want to make millions from the platform of being a senator, prime minister, president or whatever after they leave public office.
Trump doesn't need any of that shite and that's why he could be very effective.
-
Trump's next reality show will be him and Sheriff Joe Arpaio spending days and nights on the border hunting down illegals - catching them, cuffing them, putting the fear of the almighty in them with tough talk, then tossing them into the backs of police vans and trucks for "justice" to be served!
-
And... Trump just stepped in shit. The same repubs that had him #1 last week will be hatin' on him next week like it never happened.
Donald Trump might finally have crossed the line.
Appearing on Saturday at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, the real estate mogul took his running feud with Arizona Sen. John McCain to a new level.
“He was a war hero because he was captured,” Trump said. “I like people who weren’t captured.”
The remark, which came after days of back-and-forth between McCain and Trump, was met with scattered boos.
McCain, a former Navy pilot, spent roughly five-and-half years in a notorious North Vietnamese prison known as the “Hanoi Hilton,” where he was repeatedly tortured. He spent two of those years in solitary confinement.
Trump received four student deferments from military service between 1964 and 1968.
Republicans quickly distanced themselves from Trump’s remarks.
“Advice to @realDonaldTrump: Apologize for this pronto. Otherwise beginning of end,” Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, who is close to McCain, tweeted.
“John McCain is an American hero. I have nothing but respect for his service to our country,” tweeted Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

leading the pack now.
These are the same voters that nearly put Palin in the white house.
Not surprisingly, it's the #1 story on all the liberal news websites.
So let's review...
Trump "declares" for the prez race.
First off, he NEVER releases his financial documents.
He turns anti-amnesty into racism, as far as BOTH the RNC and DNC are concerned.
He makes Jeb look like a wimp, Rubio look like a coward, everyone else look scared and predictable.
He doesn't spend a penny, yet ensures he'll be able to be a massively paid $ speaker in the future.
He insults veterans, giving everyone a chance to rally behind the troops, and in turn, another war.
He *coming soon?* graciously bows out or becomes irrelevant just in time for the debates to begin.
Does anyone STILL think Trump wasn't a liberal plant all along? I called it in 2011, on getbig. He makes the GOP brand look like shit, then quietly skip away giggling. All while repubs cheer for him. Unreal.

Poll: Trump Tops McCain as Favorite Among GOP Voters
26 percent of those surveyed said they had a very favorable view of Trump while just 14 percent have a very favorable view of McCain.

I live in Arizona. The vets here HATE McCain. I have a Viet Nam vet buddy who has bladder, kidney and skin cancer. He was doused with Agent Orange in Vietnam at age 19. It has taken 6+ months to get seen at the VA in Phoenix. Sadly months too late I think. Where was our hero Senator? Talking (he is good at that) in Washington DC. He will not show up on the steps of the VA for fear of being booed and scorned. That's a hero? He is a sell out coward who keeps on getting re-elected with the same old "captured" videos. NOT this time. The local vets are united to defeat him. They stand in unison for Donald Trump. And, that's the TRUTH. (oooo a nasty word TRUTH)

Trump announces he'll raise taxes on the wealthy
http://www.politico.com/story/2015/09/trump-ceo-213584
Calls CEO pay disgusting.
Said: "We’re going to be reducing taxes for the middle class. But for the hedge fund guys, they’re going to be paying up,” Trump said.
He didn't say it he plans on implementing fiscal socialism on JUST those working in the financial sector, or ALL people making big dollars. I mean, if a hedge fund manager makes $300,000 then he will tax them higher. He'd have to tax doctors and lawyers and CEOs at a higher rate also.
Socialism. Liberalism. Don't deny it, impossible.

don't forget most of the repubs running for president SUPPORT AMNESTY.
Cruz and Trump do not.
Jeb bush calls it an 'act of love' to sneak into the USA illegally and actually claimed to be mexican repeatedly on legal documents, one while voting.
I have mixed emotions about this. If a Mexican can prove he's been here for 10 years and has no criminal record why shouldn't he be put on the path to citizenship? Most work for cash and have families where their children are born here. Most of the Mexicans in NJ by me work like dogs doing construction type stuff for cash and are not even close to being criminals. I know California has a big problem with Mexican criminals and Mexican gangs.
I do believe that there should be a heavily patrolled border and even a wall if it can be done with the dwindling money this country has.
Truth be told deportation is a joke it's so low. Obama padded his stats by counting every Mexican caught at the border and turned around as a deportation stat making him look like a hero when he is deporting just about no one outside of the border. No other President lied through this deception when using deportation statistics.

Nope.....liberal MSM trying to bash Trump any chance they can.
Only real man left in America is Justice Antonin Scalia
And Clarence Thomas.

i've been to Trump Tower in New York and His Hotel in Las Vegas, both place were infested with Illegal immigrant workers , yet NBC are the Cowards ::)
How could you tell they were illegal?

Very few Latinos here in Canada (Calgary) when I was growing up. In fact, I wasn't until I was in the 9th grade that I actually had a Latino in my class in school. And the first time I overhead someone speaking in Spanish was when I was 19 and went to Mexico with my family for a vacation.
Why would Mexicans want to by pass the US to go to Canada?

Donald Trump's speech from Phoenix Arizona, July 11, 2015
Says he would put a 35% tax on everything made in Mexico.
He calls Al Sharpton a con man.
It would be interesting to see how he would explain doing none of what he say's he do if elected. That there are people who actually believe the President has this much power is pretty sad.
-
lol
Is Donald Trump a racist in your estimation?
No. He is a delusional and self-aggrandizing nutcase though.
-
Its crazy that Trump is leading in any poll, but he is the only one whose statnces are rooted in reality as opposed to the socialist rhetoric spouted by the "politicians".
As you suggest, much of the populace is looking for change. No other presidential candidate that I know of has used the same rhetoric as he is. He's intentionally outlandish with his campaign statements. He also gives the impression that he knows nothing about how politics and the law work and that they are both rooted in the U.S. Constitution. Whether folks "know" Trump or not, it isn't so much that he wouldn't do what he says as it is that he could not do the stuff he claims he'll do.
It never ceases to amaze me how gullible many people in this country are. They'll believe anything as long as it's what they want to hear. Someone asked if Trump is racist. It makes little difference either way. Racism is just one of the tools he's using to win the racists' vote of support in the polls. The media and the uninformed citizens of the U.S are hanging on his every word, no matter how outrageous it is. For example he called a fellow female candidate too ugly looking to win the vote. This is an insult to Carly Fiorina and to the voters, suggesting they vote based on how someone looks as opposed to how qualified they are to be President.
Look at these photos of Ms. Fiorina and "the Donald" and tell me that when it comes to looking ugly, he wins the "beat with an ugly stick" prize hands down.

No. He is a delusional and self-aggrandizing nutcase though.
I think he initially jumped in as a goof. An ego thing, obviously, but with no real intention of being taken seriously. Which allowed him to speak his unpolished, "incorrect" thoughts.
Ever see Bullworth?
But no way he continues this rhetoric as the election draws near - not if the polls hold up. Expect lots of backpedaling.

Trump should tell the illegals, sign up to build my wall for min wage and I'll grant you amnesty. Trump could set up Tent cities all along the wall. Could fingerprint everyone that signs up and get them in the system...They get no benefits until the wall is finished. That would probably take 10 years...

Brit here, am I getting the impression Trump is ahead in the polls and looks most likely to be the next president at this point?

He won't even win the rep nomination let alone precedency.

Romney 2016
I might actually vote for him if he runs again.

Sorry for the long reply, but the answer to your question is not a simple yes or no.
Actually, the latest polls (this weekend) show Trump slipping. He is down 4%. Hillary Clinton is still the leader of the two in the polls.Of course, Hillary doesn't have as much competition since there are much fewer Democratic candidates than there are Republican candidates.
One area, as you might imagine where Trump stinks in the polls is with Latino voters. Something like 70% of Latinos polled would not vote for him. The Latino vote has been a deal breaker for candidates in past elections.
If Trump is nominated by the Republican party to run for president, he will face Clinton, who despite some negative press regarding email and her use of a private server and personal account for government business while she was Secretary of State, her poll numbers remain considerably higher than Trump's. She is also well supported by the Democratic party.
With Trump's comments about Carly Fiorina's appearance, he has likely lost any hope of success with women voters.
Trump is outrageous. His outrageousness has kept him front and forward in the media. Some folks confuse media popularity with voter popularity.
The Republican leadership is fragmented. Many of them have spoken out against Trump. If you can't get you own party to support you, how do you expect to win an election. Trump has a history of playing both sides of the fence.
"....Trump has given $541,650 to federal Democratic candidates and fundraising committees going back to 1990, according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics. That compares with $429,450 he's contributed to federal Republican candidates and committees over the same period."

the ultimate fanboy line about trump that I hear on television from 'conservatives' is "I LIKE SOME OF THIS IDEAS"
I bet hitler has good ideas about how to train dogs, but he was a horrible murderer aside from that. The moment a person shown himself to be an egomaniacal, immature, emotional, clueless idiot (Trump), the rest of his ideas fall with him. These repubs know trump is a democrat wrapped in a red, white and blue "greatness" sign... but they're caught up in the 2016 version of obama fever.

I think your implication and 240s comparison are a bit much.
The only person close to Hitler was Stalin... Maybe Pol Pot.
No one we've elected or will elect anytime soon are even close.

And this is because we are a Democracy or Republic, depending on how you see it. These days we are probably more a Plutocracy with puppetry for leadership. Name a U.S. politician the got elected solely on their merits and without financial support from the very wealthy. In the case of Donald Trump, he's a double whammy because he says he is using only his own wealth to run his campaign (which isn't exactly the truth).

Yes, probably much closer to that and increasingly so every day.

it made my blood pressure go up when I tried to defend/support one of the sides.
Shitting all over BOTH sides, as well as the 'renegades', is more fun, as everyone in politics is full of shit.
IN real life, I never take sides in political arguments, people take that shit WAY serious and will abandon friends because you feel different about an issue that will never affect either of you. IE: Two straight dudes never speaking again because gay marraige beliefs differ.

I need to stay away from the politics board. It's just bad news. I'm trying to avoid.

So Trump and NBC have a feud yet Trump was a guest on Jimmy Fallon which airs on NBC. Don't be fooled by this bullshit.
