The mental image of Phil crying makes me happy. Probably crocodile tears like that speech about his cancer wife.

About Ronnie not quitting after hip replacements and severe cervical vertebrae problems... he is a fool. This happened to him in his early fourties, too young for that, he has nothing to prove anymore, he should treasure his health and quit the weights. Keep fit but avoid any further injuries.

x2.  Coleman trained heavy and hardcore which was cool in the vids, but undoubtedly is what broke his body.  At this point I don't think there's any shame in switching over to light weights/machines.  I shudder to think what branch warrens body will be like when he's 50  :o

Spine surgery is no joke and fusions take time to fully set. He is a mess and needs to start using some common sense.

When you look closely, it's pretty easy to spot fake type of empathy and feelings with those who are sociopaths...His fake speech about the killings in Colorado after he won there. His fake speech about his wife being sick. And his fake speech about giving a shit about Ronnie.

Phil has to be the most disliked Mr. Olympia in history. Can't recall so much disdain(much of it by his own making) for any of the others.

The most it's been before its disliking of positioning or somebodies physique.

Not even Kai and his grapefruit got this much disdain.

I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Phil Heath.

Until 2006.  Then it's been pretty constant ever since.

11:44. He cried like a kid when he lost to Jay in 2010. Come olympia, I want to see him crying on stage.

Oh and yeah.. I don't believe he cried when Ronnie retired.

Funny that 99% of bodybuilding fans will be all smiles and happy when Phil Cheath will loose or retire.

If he didn't do intense , heavy  workouts he wouldn't have been BIG Ronnie, 8 x Mr O.
That means we wouldn't have been awed by him in his prime or talking about him now.

Someone needs to sit Ronnie down and and tell him that he'll break his body down even more. There is no need for heavy weights anymore, and he already proved himself.
Not even Arnold trains the way he used to train, and I doubt when Arnold was the same age as Ronnie he trained with the same type of "enthusiasm".

Jesus, double hip replace and fused neck in your late 40's and if he had to do it all over again he would go heavier?

too bad ron doesn't respect you phil.

Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder but nobody wants to lift no heavy ass weights” is Ronnie’s well-known catchphrase. It might also be the reason for his phantom popularity. At his peak, his physique dwarfed current competitors, just as his fame continues to eclipse that of more relevant athletes today. In Ronnie’s mind, the loads he lifted and the accolades he continues to enjoy are related. “Have you seen some of them train?” asks Ronnie when referring to the current crop of pro bodybuilders. “I would’ve destroyed Phil Heath in my day. He can’t compare to what I was. Bodybuilders of today aren’t like the bodybuilders of our day. Physiques were a lot better in our time. This era coming up here, I’m not impressed with nobody.

“When you look at pictures of Ronnie and then look at some of the top guys now, you can’t comprehend how much bigger he was than these guys,” says Brian. “Phil Heath’s whole shoulder structure would fit within the span of Ronnie’s pecs. Everything on Ronnie is just bigger. If they competed at the same time, Phil Heath would’ve looked like a little boy next to him.”

I think Phil has some sort of bipolar-disorder going on. Spills his emotional ramblings all over the net making a complete fool out of himself.

Tough to argue that.   Phil is the best of 2012-2014.   He is not as good at Ronnie at his peak, everyone knows that except the generation selfie people who don't know bodybuilding history.

This is a computer extrapolation of his body as it will be on July 4th 2015. I tried to target July 4, 2020 but the computer exploded.
