:(went to bench on Thursday, shoulders felt like shit. normal warm up, went to my heavy sets, and it was ugly. shoulders were on fire. tried to do some incline, shoulders still could not get going.
went home and drank. next day, started with heavy shrugs, no problem, then upright rows. went well, then started to do some dumbbell press with only 40s, no luck. said fuck it and went home.
hopefully a couple of days off will help. just sucks having two bad workouts back to back at my age, 58. I'm running out of time :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Pretty weak lifts. :-\

Lol, come back when you've had two years of bad workouts in a row, then I can empathize.

Give up lifting altogether.

Hint, upright rows and benching are bad for many shoulders. Elbows in, moderate range benching isn't so bad. Stop doing them, you want longevity now . Only every 3rd so should be heavy. Take it from another old timer. Hopefully it is just a slight strain.

Yesterday, I went to do legs. Started to squat and my lower back was tweaked. Started to do Bulgarian Split Squats and my fucking knee was killing me, so I threw in the towel on legs and did abs.
Went upstairs and felt like a total pussy. Took a couple of ibuprofen, warmed up my knee properly and proceeded to have a good leg workout.
Sometimes, you just have to keep swinging.

I'm 49. I take every other day off and I have great workouts 90% of the time. If I try to workout 2 days in a row, I feel tired, weaker and unable to give it 100%.
Take more days off.

You need to be put on a routine and you need a new diet written up. I'd be happy to work something out with you.

You sound pretty stubborn. When you feel pain in your delts, then you should adapt by choosing a plan b, so def no heavy benches.
