I fully support men being able to defend themselves. There is no justification for a weaker sex to be able to do they want to other people. For example, a guy with one arm for example, is he allowed to beat people up because he is "weaker"? Fuck that.

But that's the issue. Is it okay for a man to slap a woman? No. So, why is it okay for a woman to slap a man?

Violence is violence, no matter what. We need to do away with all the double standards. This is why when there is a domestic violence incident, the man is always sent to jail, despite the fact that maybe the the woman was at fault. When we continue to allow double standards to exist, we will continue to see double standards in the legal system, etc. When woman are held accountable for violence just as men are, then police are not going to be so quick to automatically arrest the man when domestic violence occurs.

I agree that there are double standards. And while I agree that we are genetically and socially different creatures, we are not slaves to our genetic or social environment. Humans also possess higher-order thinking (logic, reason, judgment, etc.), which allows us to transcend those inherent predispositions (genetics) and social up-bringing. I mean, there are many instances where people transcend there genes or environment. And there is enough people to realize this, otherwise we would not have made all the progress we had.
