Vacationing in Boston. Took dog across street from hotel for some exercise. Cop claimed I ignored him when I crossed the street. I pointed out that I was right next to the running Caterpillar and didn't hear him say anything. Tells me to pay better attention and walks back into street. WTF!
35 seconds of my life that could've been used for some cardio. 8)

We drove thru Manhattan. How the fuck do you all live so close together. It is unreal. Nobody would let anybody in. After about 20 minutes, I just started cutting in - figured it might cause a problem. Figured wrong, no honks or beeps or gestures...it's like shoving your way through in a car is completely acceptable.
So many people walking the sidewalks, a small handful sleeping on the sidewalks, people and businesses just stopping on the road for one reason or another blocking traffic.
How the hell do you New Yorkers do it. I'd go insane living that cramped.

Then we would be reading in the police state thread how you resisted arrest, you being a career criminal for having a couple of outstanding tickets or some shit etc..

Dude, wait until you see the number of people that live in shoebox size walk up apartments with 70+lb dogs. And have to walk them several times a day. Even in the freezing winter. Fuck that shit. I'll stay right where I am with year around beautiful weather and large size houses.

Being an experienced, impartial, critic, I instantly realized his pathetic attempts to use his badge to escalate minutiae to a level where he could 'justifiably' beat me down or worse. Having deprived him of his pending, ambitious, desire gave me great pride.

It was truly surreal. Gotta give NYPD a little leeway on some things as it's just so fucking jam packed.
For the most part, when I've been to Florida it's around the tourist areas. Beach, Orlando, etc. And even though there's a ton of people, it doesn't feel unbelievably cramped and closed in like NYC. A lot of beautiful houses in controlled neighborhoods as well.
The problem though was the heat. Even with car AC, it was uncomfortable in the summer. Not sure about winter temps. Sure would like to visit Key West. Any tips on best time of year?

Key West = end of October for FantasyFest aka BoobBash. Other than that in Jan/Feb when the weather is best. Meaning heat is tolerable.
The heat in Ft Lauderdale isn't that bad. The humidity is very low due to the ocean winds keeping it pushed out west. Now go to Everglades or Orlando, humidity sucks balls there. But the temp in NYC and Atlanta is always higher in the summer than here. You would think the opposite but not true.
Worst part about FtL is the damn snowbird Canadians that come down with their horrendous driving and socks and sandals fashion.

Oh it's very kid friendly. Very kiddie themed. Just a few years ago the woman that won overall prize for best presentation entry was dress like Ariel from Disney's Little Mermaid. Bright red flaming hair. Amazing mermaid body paint and a very intricate and detailed mermaid tail prop around her legs.
On roller blades underneath the prop.
Being pulled by two dwarfs that were dressed up like seahorses.
With gold collars around their necks.
And a chain running from each collar to her nipples.
Picture her just floating down Duval Street, tits pulled out like Madonna cones, waving to the crowds as they threw beads to her.
I spoke with her after the parade and complimented her on the original costume. She told me she was from Nebraska. And the hardest part of the whole costume - you are thinking getting pulled by the tits right? - was finding two dwarfs in bumfuck Nebraska to be her sea horses. (She ran an ad on Craigslist).
