I'm not actually familiar with this term, but I take it to mean either:
1. Eating once per day or
2. Eating within a small, e.g. 4 hour, period each day.
Has anyone done this for a long time, as in a year or more? If so:
1. When do you eat? E.g. morning, evening, 6-10 pm, etc.
2. When do you workout, especially with relation to your meal(s)?
3. Do you eat once, or more? How do you structure your 'meals'?
4. Any other tips?

When dieting down, I would eat about 8-12 whole eggs a day at once. Worked for me. It was simple and didn't take a lot of preparing or planning out. I would also eat right before bed because if I was hungry I couldn't sleep. Doing cardio sucked and had no energy but I did lose a lot of fat.

Interesting. On a related note, I've heard many say caloric restriction, in general, prolongs life. But I wonder what kind of life that is...
I've been restricting calories for a long time now, and 'one meal a day' really appeals to me because I don't like eating small meals. I like looking forward to a big meal at the end of the day.
However, I'm always guessing whether small meals throughout the day (or some other choice) might be better. I've tried both ways, but would like to hear if anyone has had long-term success with 'IF' dieting, and how they do it.

Today
Monday night my last meal was 6pm
This morning I had bcaa and my pre workout at 530 am
Then some bcaa post workout
And 1 pm I had 100g of protein(chicken) an advocadoe 100g carb from brown rice and veggies
Then at 545pm I had 50g protein from lean ground turkey marinara sauce and 50g of brown rice pasta and veggies and tbsp Mac oil and 2 scoop whey for dessert
After dinner I had greens powder and fiber supp
The other day I had less carbs the day after I had 6 doughnuts and pizza at dinner( my body felt depleted and I had gone very low Cals for a few days before
I looked better and tighter the next day
It's my fav way of eating I've ever tried
The fat loss is easy and consistent
I love not having to worry about food all day
I'm never hungry in the am so I like to push my fast to 20hrs sometimes
I never have to worry about what to eat if we go out or have dinner with friends in the evening
I feel better
I have better focus and energy
I'm sleeping better

Yah sure. I have done it and still do it, but do so without any thought. I will go 12-20 hours at times without eating if I am busy.
There are some benefits for sure, but it won`t really make much of a difference.
Calories consumed vs burned will be the only thing that matters.

Use tren. That will kill your appetite so fasting won't be any other option for you.

I eat all day everyday i just need to lift and eat more simple foods

I use a very loose version of it when wanting to loose a bit a fat, if I feel fat creeping on I'll cut out all morning meals, typically I'll wake at 4.45 on a work day and not eat till 12.30 or 1.00 after working out. I find this a painless and effective way of doing it, but Im not trying to get ripped just use it to tighten up a bit.

It is imperative that in the middle of a fast you have a heavy snack to help see you to the end...

Agreed. Just a matter of preference.
For me I like it because I don't like little and frequent snack/meals as that seems to make me hungrier then a larger meal. Also, helps me to keep calories under control better as (along lines in previous sentence) I get a lot hungrier the other way.
I'm not super strict with it all the time as life/social circumstances cause veering sometimes.

Intermittent fasting, in which individuals fast on consecutive or alternate days, has been reported to facilitate weight loss and improve cardiovascular risk. This review evaluates the various approaches to intermittent fasting and examines the advantages and limitations for use of this approach in the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes.
Intermittent fasting can be undertaken in several ways but the basic format alternates days of ‘normal’ calorie consumption with days when calorie consumption is severely restricted. This can either be done on an alternating day basis, or more recently a 5:2 strategy has been developed (Figure 1), where 2 days each week are classed as ‘fasting days’ (with <600 calories consumed for men, <500 for women). Importantly, this type of intermittent fasting has been shown to be similarly effective or more effective than continuous modest calorie restriction with regard to weight loss, improved insulin sensitivity and other health biomarkers.1,21

Obesity comprises multiple genetic, metabolic and behavioural abnormalities that complicate treatment. Most pharmaceutical therapies that promote weight loss have been discontinued, and at the time of writing the only licensed anti-obesity drug on the UK market is orlistat.1 Increasing numbers of obese individuals are undergoing bariatric surgery, but this remains a restricted minority treatment.36 The mainstay of treatment for obesity therefore remains lifestyle intervention based around dietary changes37⇓⇓-40 which generally form the first step in any weight loss programme.
Intermittent fasting is known to be useful in the treatment of intractable obesity,41 and morbidly obese individuals.42 Original treatment regimens were based upon intermittent starving as opposed to restricting calories43,44 a harsh regime that must have challenged adherence. Despite the seemingly strict nature of the fasting days intermittent fasting has a generally good adherence record and can cause significant reductions in body weight in individuals with obesity,45-46 suggesting that this is a clinically relevant therapeutic approach.
