Donald Trump upped the volume in his already controversial political campaign Thursday, hinting that he could run as an independent if Republican leaders try to isolate him.
Trump has dominated political news for two weeks as disparaging remarks he made about Mexican immigrants, labeling them drug runners and "rapists," have caused steadily mounting concern among many Republican strategists.
Party officials, who have emphasized a need to reach out to Latino voters, have watched as Trump's comments have threatened to worsen the GOP's already weak image among that growing group of voters. His remarks have divided the GOP presidential candidates and delighted Democratic operatives.
Since the initial remarks he made during his campaign kickoff last month in New York, Trump has escalated his comments in a series of radio and television interviews, claiming that the Mexican government had deliberately sent criminals to the U.S.

he's firing back at Reince Priebus.
Everyone with a brain knows trump will win 25% with the GOp base, Jeb will get 30%, and hilary will cakewalk to the win with 45% of the vote. Very similar to the way Bill Clinton did? ;)
Hilary is probably begging for a Trump independent run.

As long as Trump is polling right around #1, I don't think there is anything Reince or the RNC or anybody else can possibly say.
It really is an interesting time...this is a guy who simply does not give a fuck AND in a day and age where television presence means so much...he blows everybody else out of the water.
Did you see the way he went after the MSNBC reporter yesterday? The man is a pit bull with the media. He had her looking like a little school girl. "C'mon you can't possibly be this naive" She instantly became flush with embarrassment.
And then when she became tongue tied because she was obviously intimidated he fired back with "Lets go...spit it out." And then
"I can't believe you are actually going to put this on television"

media people (on both sides) are SO used to their guests trying to please them.
Trump is intentionally trying to be hostile, trying to pwn her, making her look the fool when she actually has a valid piece of info there. Trump's emotion and anger WON over her facts. The stats she had should have won her that argument, but trump attacked the messenger for getting rattled and voila, she LOST.
He's going to treat the media like the peons on his TV show, and it'll work!!

Social media has advanced tremendously since the 2008 election. 30 second clips like this being spread on twitter, facebook etc have a greater effect than a few short years ago.
If he can continue to pwn reporters as if they are Devry flunkies working third shift in his mail room, it should help give him a leg up when it comes to the more technologically plugged in younger crowd. They can appreciate qualities like that much more than the elderly.

Does Tump even have a campaign manager or any competent advisors
I'm waiting for this guy to show up again

trump is kicking everyone in the GOP's ass right now. #1 in polls, owning the airwaves, and above all, he's doing one thing...
he's literally pwning the liberal media. You know, the same media that Palin and Romney WHINED about. Trump doesn't whine, he goes on NBC and calls the interviewer incompetent to her face and makes her stammer.
Think abuot that... romney, palin, they would go on friendly FOX and whine. Trump has balls, they don't.
