I had a call from an old friend of mine who needs help selling his oversized caskets and urns online and offered me a nice cut of the profits. Building the website would be quite easy as there are less than 50 products however I'm wondering if it would be in bad taste to market these oversized caskets to bodybuilders or would I be doing a service for the community????

Can't be mad at your ambition 'brew. Unfortunately, most caskets / urns are sold at the funeral home via a package deal because Americans don't plan for their death. So if you got a connect with a local funeral home do it, if not = pass

Well, by federal law funeral home have to accept caskets from outside sources. They are not allowed to reject them however its my job to simply sell them to people who want them. Ultimately it would save someone between 3-5k on their expenses

Common sense, you don't have it.

I don't know the federal laws regarding this; but the business of death is emotional not logical. So? 8/10 a person dies and the family is traumatized. They go to funeral home, where they offer the package deal - and its accepted.
As far as the money aspect, I suppose this depends on the location. But I'll tell you real numbers in SO Cal.
A cremation and urn goes for 3k. Middle of the road Casket = 4k

This is just sad, Melvin Goodrum.
How lonely & desperate for human contact are you to post this kind of drivel?

If say with your penchant for running larger men into their graves, Versace Venom Voodoo Vince, that this would be a good business venture for you.

Sometimes one craves a far more simple life of lying in a filthy trailer dreaming up shit to post on getbig all day (but not be a darkie or a fag though)

"Caliber Funeral"? Really, just think of the name for a sec. Are you going to be giving away bee pollen and whey to the bereaved family?

I like it. Maybe adopt Tri-State Crematory's business model:
Caliber Funeral: We Don't Need No Stinkin' Caskets!
-
If you can make money at it, go for it.
I don't know many people who buy caskets before they are needed.
-
What exactly happens when you purchase one of these coffins, do you expect people to keep them in the loft or something?, its a terrible idea, I'd imagine those oversized coffins would have a greater market amongst your obese population, you could set up a stall out side your local hospital and try your luck tho..

ROTFLMAO
-
I say go for it-
if there is one thing that guarantees success in business its entering a new market with no experience, limited cap ex and no idea of how to move things forward.

Well, I decided to build a website for him rather than selling the stuff myself. Too many issues and if something goes wrong.....well the results will not be good for business
-
get a group deal discount to the 5% crew and your going to make some serious cash in the next couple years

For what it is worth, I would love to have my own funeral managed by Caliber Funeral Solutions.

Nor is it with your name attached to it. Thought you would've figured it out by now.
