Title: Tired of Super Hero movies
Post by: Yamcha on July 13, 2015, 09:07:28 AM: I am getting annoyed by the oversaturation of Super Hero movies. I think we are seeing the slow death of the genre before our eyes.
The closest correlation that comes to mind is the obsession with monster movies back in the 40's and 50's.

Please tell me I am not the only one. C'mon...

The marvel movies are just too forced. Captain America had some shining moments, and the Avengers had promise, but putting out 20+ movies before the HUGE battle with Thanos has completely lost me.

And DC... How can anyone look forward to this:

I've only watched MOS, still haven't watched a Marvel movie in its' entirety, so I'm only 1 movie deep into the genre. Therefore, I'm going to enjoy the next 10 yrs of the DC dark universe.

Antman and Deadpool look fucking stupid. The deadpool new trailer is dreadful and littered with corny ass jokes.

Blade and blade 2 are better than anything being put out now, the punisher with Tom Jane was good too, had that level of grit and realism they all lack now, the first solo wolverine film was pretty entertaining. Marvel just wants to attract the kids now

Extended sub plot involving his best friend. Made it a little more of a serious, fleshed out movie. Oh and boobies at the club.
