Title: So proud...
Post by: _aj_ on July 15, 2015, 07:17:58 AM
Yesterday, I was spotting my wife in a set of DB presses. It was her last and heaviest set (50's) and after her grueling reps, she fucking threw the weights in disgust like an IFBB pro! They bounced across our rubberized floor. I am so proud. *sniff*

Next stage.... After slamming the Dumbbells

Teach her to walk up to the mirror and *squint her eyes* as she stares at her reflection; observing & admiring her pump

Baby steps...

I still need to get her to yell between reps like the pros. And she refuses to wear any "5%" clothing. SMH.

I hope she's got one of those 5% plastic gallon jugs to carry around all day at the very least?!

Mastering the ancient art of Invisible Lat Syndrome should always precede wearing 5% clothing

Your wife does seated DB presses with 50s?

No, these were flat bench. She got 5 good ones.

Still impressive.

Still impressive.

She's stronger than she thinks she is. I have to push her. If I hadn't given her shit, she still wouldn't believe that she can do a single pullup, let alone 8. And I forced her to put a chain around her neck for dips because they were too easy.

Bullshit, you were living out your Branch Warren fantasy.

You should take her to a gym. It's quite funny watching guys reactions when your lady grabs heavier dumbbells than theirs.

I will admit that it looked pretty badass.

She's been involved in fitness for 20 years. She's still a group fitness (step, kickboxing, muscle conditioning) instructor in 3-4 local gyms. She has a PT cert, but hates de-motivated people. You'd think that I married her for her genes, but it was actually a shared love of Science Fiction that bonded us.

Cool!
You have to teach her to shout: "light weight babyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" and "ain't nutin but a peanut"
Tears will fall from your eyes.

 ;D

Haha! No quite that bad...but close. Written science fiction, mostly.

Plus, she liked Star Trek: Voyager, which was almost a deal-breaker.
