Title: Looking smaller on photos than in the mirror

i feel i look smaller when i look at pictures taken by my camera than when i look in the mirror, why is that  ???

If it's a iPhone camera, it's the equivalent of a 16mm wide angle lens and that imparts a lot of strange perspective distortions. That said, the great Galeniko (PBUH) used to say "the mirror lies".

Strange. I always feel I look bigger in photos than when I see myself in the mirror.

what if people around me see me as the smaller version of myself (camera) rather than what i thought reflected me (mirror) ?

there's only one solution to this - add some extra pounds of muscle, just in case

Body dysmorphia. It's a thing.

I've got it too. My 18" arms look like little girl arms to me    >:(

Same here. But bathroom mirror shots are bullshit as we all look bigger and leaner when "holding everything" then snaping the pic.

I feel skinny fuck most of the time when I look in the mirror. Then when someone takes a pic, and I look at it... good lord, I'm like twice of a "normal" persons size. Fucked up.

Its even more apparent on video.... Our lass always takes sly videos when holidays, and you think your not that big until your actualy next to normal people in there swimming trunks etc

the lens is eye shaped to catch more, making objects smaller in the middle

for the best angle, stand a good distance away and zoom in

im going to have a professional photographer following me around all day, in perfect lightning and make sure im tanned and got a pump going at all times

I just need to carry that mirror around. That, and my obvious epic delusions of Ro-like size.
