Saw it a couple of years ago and din't think much of it. Michael Caine, as great as he is, isn't exactly the actor that comes to mind when it comes to filling Charlie Bronson's shoes.

Had you not seen it before?

I love that film. And Gran Torino with Clint. If you haven't seen GT you'll love that too.

Harry browns a great film, horrible little shits in it, was a good portrayal of what some estates can be like. It wasn't like sir michael was leaping around and beating the shit out of people, it was subtly done where his old army training came in useful.
I thought it a better film than overrated gran torino which didn't have alot going on, i watched that once and not been tempted back yet. If harry had tried what walt did pulling out a fake finger gun the british thugs would have fucked him up on the spot

Well said. Its what Gran Torrino should have been, and it should have been with Harry Callahan.

that would be a great idea, a retired callahan forced into sorting out thugs, using that something left in the basement

I remember when word came out about Gran Torino, rumor was it was going to be one last Dirty Harry movie. Sucks, much like sent off his westerns with Unforgiven, I always felt DH needed the same treatment. Sudden Impact had some good moments, but not a good finale to the series imo.
