For those whom the Randolphs liberated, Israel Hill was the Promised Land. But I don’t think these “Israelites” saw themselves primarily as attempting to make a point to the outside world. Rather, they dedicated themselves to a task that faced all free blacks, not only those who had belonged to the Randolphs. That challenge was to make their freedom count by applying themselves to their occupations and zealously guarding, even expanding, their rights as free people.

The problem with your line of argument, is the lack of proper context and knowledge of the history of religion. Which interpretation of the old texts is correct? Which translation of the Bible do you think is correct? Interpretation of old texts can be described as a hermeneutical process where your own preconceptions shape your interpretations. Is it the 2015 version of Wiggs or the 1715 version of Wiggs who has the correct understanding of the Bible?

The problem with your line of argument, is the lack of proper context and knowledge of the history of religion. Which interpretation of the old texts is correct? Which translation of the Bible do you think is correct? Interpretation of old texts can be described as a hermeneutical process where your own preconceptions shape your interpretations. Is it the 2015 version of Wiggs or the 1715 version of Wiggs who has the correct understanding of the Bible?

I get that. However, why the fascination with one of the three major religions originating from the middle east? Seems random to me. On another note, the fascinating thing is that white supremacists also have this fascination with this totally alien religion to the people originating from the Germanic tribes. I have seriously considered the "Åsatro" just to make a point. Beats the "Spaghetti monster" any day ;D.
