8 years old?  disabled/unable to understand commands from cop/teacher?

i'm all for busting cops when they abuse power.  But as a former teacher, I can tell ya... When a fully grown student in 3rd or 4th grade (maybe even with a fail/retention, making them a year older) decides to attack a skinny 110 pound hottie 22-year old teacher, it can get ugly fast.  Cuffs protect the kid and the teacher.  When a kid punches teacher, or smaller kids, often the 'restraint' of a kid can hurt the kid way worse than handcuffs would.

plus, as a parent, if my kid is kicking the shit out of others/teacher, then his ass deserves a nice round in handcuffs to wake him the #$@^*& up and prepare him for the beating I'm sure to deliver once he gets home haha.

HAH!

I taught at a tough school ten years back.  Skinny blond, brand new teacher was completely leveled by a 4th grader (9 years old) from the disabled class.  Attacked her without warning, just trucked her.  Knocked her out of chair, hit head, broke rib, fractured hand when she landed.

I've broken up middle school fights... I stopped the skinny idiots and held until the school officer arrived, it was easy, as a getbigger.   But small female teachers, coupled with the hormone-fed larger kids of today... an 8 year old that's crazy can really cause some damage (and we're not even considering how bad he can hurt other students).  and the lawsuits if you hurt a kid taking him today, that's scary too.  let the cops cuff them, safer for all.  the parents of the violent kid would probably thank cop for not tasing.

Here's the thing, the cop was the one talking to the 8 year old in the video.

Do you think that cop couldn't handle that teeny 8 year old? really?

well me and my Brother went out and .. wanted some Toys. I think i wanted an action man toy. Any way we sneaked out the House about 2 am and simply Bricked a window and through the jagged hole got some toys. I was lucky the window never fell vertical when i was half way in there it would have cut my head off. We got greedy did a second shop but a camera place ..i don't know why i was too young to understand cameras. was going to brick the window and a Policeman got us in his torch light but had a dog with him. He set the dog loose. A German Shepherd which we had at home so we were not scared. we ran my brother fell the dog came to him and he stroked it and it never bit him. i jumped over railings into a river. I lay there while the policeman searched with his torch, then i swam over the river to the other bank. the Police came of course and took me away.. i had to see the Chief Inspector in Stirling. had a probation Officer for about a year. i met him some years later when i was on leave from the Army. Was an OK Guy.

I've seen 240 melt consistently about adult black men fully capable of making decisions getting shot. Here is a young white child incapable of making adult decisions being handcuffed and 240 jumps right up and supports it. WTF??

Wow, a hell of an escape for rather small stuff. The slap in this case was out of line. You were never a threat to anyone, nor do you mention resisting arrest or whatnot.

What did your parents, especially your father, say when they found out a grown man in a position of supposed authority assaulted their son?

it was the way it was then. My Parents were not to blame. I grew up fairly hard but i canīt blame anyone. Best thing i did was to fuck off to the Army. I liked it there, met guys like myself and formed friendships for life. remember it was years ago and things were more, shall we say accepted like a punch in the face. The Police by todays standards would be in jail. It was another time.

Don't have a problem with it, lots of kids are savages, and if this scares it out of them, fine. It wasn't that long ago that having a cop take frequent misbehavers to the station house for a few hours was a common from of correction in many smaller towns.  I do think cuffing him up that high on the arm was a mistake though, too much risk of injury, versus leaving them loose, double locked on the wrist.

so what was the cop suppose to do? The kid took a swing at him and hes not allowed to cuff him.
does he pin the kid to the ground until back up gets there?
does he lock him in a closet until back up arrives?
does he just let the kid keep possibly keep trying to hit him?

look, its not like he has the kid hog tied lying face first on the ground. The kid is sitting in a chair with his arms restrained slightly behind him.....all on video.

The kid isnt being hurt, the cop isnt in any "danger". At worst the kid is scared and may have a couple red marks on his arms.

Again, i dont see the problem

I love the Liberal media commentary on the appropriate left of the video. This is further proof of the liberal utopia mindset. In their dream world, everyone deserves respect even the child who tries to punch the adult. We should first seek to understand him and why he is behaving in this manner before restraining him in such an inhumane manner. Sounds more than a little like Hilary Clinton suggesting we first try to understand Muslim Terrorists before attempting to restrain (or kill) them.

i'm all for tasing the motherloving SHIT out of anyone that breaks the law.   I mean, just zap them til they're crapping pants.

but shooting people in the face, nah, you should only do that when you have to.

Also - when there's a life/death confrontation, and you wound the other person, and he runs...  That life/death switch resets when you meet them again.  You cannot just chase them 150 feet, and then issue headshots until a new deadly threat is shown.  Cause if 150 feet is okay, then why not 2 miles, 2 days later?  Just find the guy that started shit and shoot him in his sleep.  There can be no line.  once an incident ends, you have to reset it.

And YES, cuffs are way safer for a kid than some obese cop trying his best takedown moves.  "i can't breathe' happens when every cop thinks he's a cage fighter.   I didn't even care about the race of the kid, nor do I care about race when cops shoot people.  I've seen a kid demolish a classroom before, and it's just a slip-and-fall away from a window killing someone.  dangerous shit.  restrain the child, dont tackle, don't shoot, don't wrestle.  Put cuffs on him and plant in chair.

kinda silly to compare stopping a kid with handcuffs, to shooting a motherfuucker in the back while running away, but hey...
