MD doesn't have athletes. They have bodybuilders. Why is this so damn difficult.

Yeah, before he won the USAs though.

It's a smart business move.
Why pay these lazy BBers to sit around at home.
Let them earn money and support their hobby (BBing - Not a sport, A hobby) like every other hard working american.
If their is room or a desire for them to do a photoshoot after a beauty-pagent to satisfy the schmoe crowd. Pay them a few thousand bucks and they will surely take it.
Why would anyone pay a BBer >100k a year salary when they can pay them 1k for a photoshoot instead? Keep in mind many of these individuals are spending >20k in drugs for a 5k return (if they win) and a plastic trophy.

I think it's smart to pay for photo shoots and articles, that way anyone can get the opportunity.

they probably got his blood results back and decided he wasnt worth the investment.

Are these guys really getting paid 100k a year from MD? Sounds doubtful

There's nothing harder than being a free agent bodybuilder. You have to tell yourself that this sport is a business and just sit on the couch and wait for that phone to ring with a new team's GM on the other line.

WooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
-
He looks disgustingly old. Yes, that's been regurgitated many times, but it's impossible to not think of that when looking at him. Flat out suicide mission the guy is on...
-
Smart move.
Looking kinda creepy in the before pic
-
...........and not a single fuck was given.............
-
He seems to be doing just fine.
-
Straight outta Compton to be released next week

Pics can make ya think such things, can't they???
-
Oompah Loompahs are like cats, they usually land on their little feet. I'm certain Blackstone Labs or one of the other dietary research facilities has the room and a spare white lab coat for another wee one like Compty.

Already with Evogen. I still can't believe people buy this stuff.

So why did take MD all this athletes under contract when they are releasing them now? This Mag is full of publicity for bs supplements. There's no need to buy more mags these days. Forums, Facebook, Insta, it's a lot easier to "follow" the Pro's.

Those cartoons were the best! Too bad they never made some real animation one's. Had that came out today, it would have happened...

Dave makes some good points I think. But I'm saying this knowing absolutely nothing about the situation.

Sorry mate, that's complete bullshit. Not everyone is spending their money like "No-Genetics-all-Drugs" Bostin. Lee already talked about this in a radio show. Come on you believe that? Nobody would do that, spend 5 to earn 2 8)

He's clearly inspired by the coverage of other sports. I believe that the number of (paid) viewers who want to follow a show life is pretty limited, the Arnold & Olympia excluded.

Its 4:31am in NYC and I am still awake after reading the news that Justin was released from MD. I cant eat. I cant sleep. I cant function.

BBers are lazy.
They like to eat, sleep and train. That's it. Very few have a real job, and the ones who do end up quitting it to "pursue their dream".
The magazine and supplement contracts are drying up. Soon, not even Mr. O will have one. Kai got released, Shawn Roden barely found one. Nobody visits those sites anymore or reads the magazines, nobody even cares about BBing.
I can see pro BBing dying off completely in the next 10 years or becoming what it was intended to be all along, a hobby not a career.

You nailed it: BB is a hobby not a Career! True, but with the new physique division, bodybuilding will always be there, even if bodybuilder are wearing shorts these days ;D

I think there has been a shift in the consumer as well. With social media, Instagram especially, the public sees all of the "fake nattys" with physiques that they would HIGHLY desire more than a Kai Greene, Justin Compton ( :-X), Big Ramy, etc.
Guess what all of these "fake nattys" and CrossFit stars all have in common, they all sell their own supplements. Every single YouTube fitness celebrity is hawking their own preworkout, aminos, protein, etc. So naturally Generation Nothing will gravitate towards the aesthetic physiques (and their supplements) rather than the freaks.
And no one buys magazines anymore regardless.
