Title: If a tree falls in the forest....
Post by: Thong Maniac on August 11, 2015, 04:15:48 PM
For the bootys and beta males of the world who use facebook and twitter and whatever other "look at me" mediums...

If you do an activity but dont document it with staged pictures and selfies of you doing the said activity...did it actually happen?

Kind of like the old saying, if a tree falls in the forest but no one is there to hear it...did it make a sound?

Im so irritated with hanging with friends or wives and girlfriends and every fucking thing needs to be staged and then documented with fake smiles and dumb staged pictures. It takes the excitement and living in the moment out of every fucking activity we do. Rant over.

It's a human/animal nature. If noone is witnessing how "happy" you are - you feel not as happy... Well unless you have sex  ::)

And usually; the only person that cares about the daily events that are being posted on FaceBook.... Is the one that is doing the posting.

So FB is often just a bunch of individuals pretending to care about each other's daily activities. But secretly; each person only cares about themselves.

Facebook is very much a selfish endeavor.

I kinda got into the whole posting statuses on facebook for a while, (mostly because it keeps all the grandma's/grandad's/secret family paedos in the loop kidwise) and I would post a picture or two at the weekend when we were doing something with the kids or on holdiday etc. But these days, even though I have my phone with me I make a concious effort NOT to share the 'moment' with my fb friends, for this simple reason:

We are on a family day out, not an 'extended family, plus kinda friends/aquaintances and guys who I worked with 10 years ago day out'.

Unless im doing something like prepping I don't post any pics. I have bb friends that will comment on my pics and they share theirs as well. Just friendly motivation. I just use Facebook to see funny memes and videos. Really no different then logging on to getbig. Hell I do 1000x more social interacting on here then Facebook

I think it's definitely a girl thing. The last thing on my mind when I'm having a nice time is 'Ooh I must show everyone!'.

I do have a couple of male friends who use FB like a woman. Annoying self pitying statuses with no detail in which later get deleted after enough sympathy has been garnered. It grinds my gears.

Any pictures I take with friends when I am out with them, never gets posted on facebook or any other social media site. I keep them for memories. No need to show them to every Tom, Dick, and Harry.

I don't want anyone knowing what I'm doing, I'm not an attention shore. Dropping social media was one of the best decisions ever.

I can say with confidence that you should never go directly from posting on Getbig to posting on Facebook. You will NOT like the result that you will get from your "friends".

I do so wish that Facebook had this emoticon:  ::) It is the source of so much pleasure to just slam one of those down.
