If you look into the history of them its extremely interesting. The Iowa class battleship was the largest us battleship ever built. around 45,000 tons. Each turret took 100 men to operate. They where decommissioned in the 70's but when shit started heating up with the USSR in the 80's Reagan brought them out of and recommissioned them with the latest systems to make they relevant to include Tomahawk land attack misses, 4 CIWS (the R2D2 white doom in the back of the shell picture) that shot 2500 rounds a min and was used to shot incoming missile downs and the system that i'm a technician for the AN-SLQ32 Electronic warfare system
