best combination ever

That pic is from the 2000 Mr. Olympia. He looks good in that pic, but not his best year in my opinion. 1998/1999 Mr. Olympia or 2001 AC takes the cake.
-
Among the bigger guys.

Seeing him at his best just surprises me everytime and understand yet again, why during that time, I wanted to be HUGE!!!
But seeing him now, makes me realize, hmmm, maybe I did the smart thing to be "average" but be able to look this way and hold it a long time...

I'm guessing this was mid/late 90s but this is my favorite. Had some mass but still a tight waist and great conditioning.

Halo is pounding his keyboard in frustration.

Just look at those fecking biceps!!! Not a hint of site injection ....

I prefer the young, crazy powerlifting '94 Ronnie with hair

Agreed, 1999 Olympia and 2001 ASC for the win... Admittedly he was huge at the 2000 Olympia, 2003 most overrated...

That's from the 1994 Mr Olympia contest
And Ronnie on what his best shape was

Boom lol ;D

What is interesting - you can see he is not particulary WIDE (by structure), yet so thick that it compensate for it.

Boom lol ;D
Schmoe angle :-X :-\

Meanwhile, Phil just got 3 new text messages in between sets of 70lb leg curls. 8)

Today is his best condition ever...

I agree, I liked his look pre-97 best.

1999 was great too:

I guess my favorite Ronnie was a mix between his best condition (98, ASC '01) and his stupid-hugeness in '03-'05.
For me, that would be between how he looked at the 1999 or 2000 Olympias. He was "fuller" in the '99 show and, IMHO, showed cuts that he didn't the previous year (albeit the fact he was actually leaner and drier in '98 ... all I can say to that is, meh ... something's to be said for extra size, be it actual raw tissue or glycogen).
He was smoother still at the 2000 Olympia, but by my eye, he was noticeably bigger and was still cut enough to ward off even the top competition of the day. (Aside: Kevin Levrone had to be kicking himself to not have the wheels he did a decade earlier. WTF happened there?!)
From that I guess I'd have to go with Hulkster's default fapfapfap position ;) I.e., how Ronnie looked in the '99 Olympia.
No offense, Hulkster. You came -- hahahahahha, no pun intended ;P -- by that choice honestly. And all bullshitting aside, while I probably disagree with you in the whole Dorian v. Ronnie debate, you made a great case for Ronnie as the true GOAT. I actually vacillate between who I think is the best Olympia winner ... in many respects, I think Arnold represents the ideal; on the other hand, a case could easily be made that Samir was actually THE most complete, and by a certain criterion, "best" Mr. Olympia.
Then you've got Ronnie and Dorian, which is a whole other can of worms. I think there's a thread for that, somewhere :?: :D ;) :o :D :)

Count on the mighty ND to produce solid before-and-after pics :) (Btw, there's no sarcasm intended in what I just said. I'm being as straight-up honest as I can be.)
I can't speak to Olympia-winning condition, but I reckon I liked Ronnie best about the time he started winning shows in 1995. He was huge by any reasonable standard, ripped and still had a long life ahead of him -- an especially healthy one, which he probably could've marketed on his freakish biceps peaks alone.
I can almost picture the Ronster alongside these infomercial 'tards ... only I fear for the mighty Ronster, even in those shitty circumstances :(

:)
ND, what year is that pic of RC on the bottom right. Is that the 2005 Olympia? The last year he won. You have to admit, although his shape and proportions had digressed, the man carried a degree of muscle mass and density that has never been seen before except maybe DY in 1993 and 1995. He literally has no joints just muscle. Even his calves looked big ;)

Looks like 04

You never getting that size had absolutely nothing to do with any choice you made man.. Not hating on you. Either you got the genes or you don't. If you did you would have done it

"had some mass" ;D

Yes. I agree 100%.
I could have totally been a mogul billionaire but I chose the middle class lifestyle because the thought of such a long list of itemized tax documents makes me realize I chose the "smart thing".
Rich, didn't you state in earlier conversation you will be alone forever? Was that you?

At that point in his career in the mid-90's when he started winning shows, he only weighed 230-235 pounds believe it or not.
