be able to bench 500lbs, and look like you can't even bench your body weight..... or look like you can bench 500lbs but can't bench your body weight?......

its about looks for me...but it would suck to be huge and have a max curl of 135 or a max bench of 225

Size means nothing if you can't use it...i'd rather be strong and solid, not weak and bloated.

HUGE and average strength.
If you're BIG, you're 24 hours a day and you impress people everywhere you go.
Sure, muscle mass isn't exactly functional but it looks good.
If you're merely strong but look weak you're only going to impress the
smelly guys in the gym or maybe your powerlifting buddies/competitors.
There is not a linear relationship between strenth and mass, but if you're
pretty huge you're not going to be "weak" by any means.

Exactly. What can you do with the bloated muscles besides get all oiled up and flex while some guys put their viagra to use? As you get older the true strength,agility, flexibility will really pay off.
