He looked good, was he cramping?? He barely hold a pose no more than 0.5 seconds, literally!!
-
I've seen him in person many times before he retired. He was huge as fuck. He was 5'8 280-300 offseason, it ws quite the sight to see. I remember him having really small hands though.
-
fucking incredible.
does the grainy effect of the vhs tape lend an extra layer of illusion or was this guy just that dry?
that is a god damn pinnacle of achievement in terms of mass & condition.
-
All Advil and brown paper bags...
-
That exact physique today is top 6 at the Mr. O.

Dialysis for 5 hours 3 times a week now. I wonder were his dosages much higher than other guys or was he just not cut out for AAS.
-
the food/diuretics/lean/water filled body mass he attained /plus painkillers its amazing he's not dead, talk about smoking your organs for the 'best'build onstage for one night..
-

would likely win it, he had a transplant right?
-
Saw him many years ago in Florida, said he was 315 and he looked every bit of it.Looked about 5'9 with shoes on.Crazy freak looking bastard.
-

Seriously!? Wow that's terrible for whatever reason ... :( :( (Q: Is the Advil thing a GetBig in-joke, or did he really claim it was ibuprofen that led to this?)
-
Saw him in the 90`s in Fla. also..........looked like a cartoon character.
-
How did he lost to Titus? He was by far the best on stage... Very complete, conditioned mass that Phildo could only dream of, or any other modern bodybuilder...
-
Damn. He looked insane. Rare to see a white BB maintaining an aesthetic look while being huge. Tom pulled it off!
-
Always thought he was underratted. Had unique presentation skills, maybe due to his freakyness.
In this vid i find him better than the murder:
-
Ripped to shreds, too bad his organs were too.

Didnt know he went on dialisys. Last I heard he would need a transplant later in life as kidney function was severely diminished but ok for now.
-
I forgot how sick he looked back then......and an extra 20 lbs if it was today ? :-X
-
Crazy how lots of the pro's thru the 90' early 00's looked so much better
Than the Pro's of the last few years.
Looked Better, not necessarily Bigger.
-
I think he said 2001 night of champions was his best condition at 245. Seems to be doing fine and mentions working out a Venice Golds in July.
-
All Advil and brown paper bags...
Straight from the tap?
-
Tom was always one of my favorites back then. Glad to see he's healthy and training again.

That's so true - I've mentioned this quite a few times in other threads, but if like me you just totally switched off and literally didn't look at a single picture between 1995 and 2012/13 the difference is striking when you return. In particular the chubby cheeks of some of todays highly conditioned competitors compared to the drawn 'faces of death' you'd often see at shows in the past.

True.
I do think it's partly due to the prolific use of insulin.
To a lesser extent not as readily available quality gear.
And partly down to the use of GH & other dieting drugs.
A lot don't know or want to diet & exercise like they did
Back then.
It has definitely changed in the quality of most physiques.

Why didn't he bring a suit against Advil anyways? They did this to him.
-
How does he pay his bills these days?
-
Never knew Titus was so short.

ROTFL!!!!

How does he pay his bills these days?
His wife was a real estate investor or something like that
They were always buying and selling properties, think they owned a lot of apartment complexes
Pretty sure he's set

Well good for him. Glad to see someone earning a living and not being exploited by the bodybuilding machine. They should have unionized.
-
He looked absolutely amazing. Apparently at his peak on stage he was already in serious organ injury. Really bad luck. Maybe taking impure stuff? But he did truly peak and had one of the best physiques of his era for a period of time.
-

I saw him at the Southern States around 98 or 99. He was big but I was not that impressed. GH head and hands of peace.

Dude looked sick, no pun intended. Why did he place so poorly in the pro ranks?
-
Ronnie, Flex, Levrone, Ray, Nasser, Yates, Dexter etc...
-
Ronnie, Flex, Levrone, Ray, Nasser, Yates, Dexter etc...
Yeah, it was an ultra competetive era for sure... But to think he only competed a half dozen shows and barely broke the top ten and still wound up destroying his organs. Fuck.

Yeah I know. That really sucks.

Big dude but torso was IMO a mess during his career as a pro.
-
I remember him having really small hands though.

Here's to his continuing down the Road to Dialysis. Pathetic. As for the other two retards in that photo, they're not immune to nature's payback.
-
Ronnie, Flex, Levrone, Ray, Nasser, Yates, Dexter etc...
Lee preist, Charlie clairmonte, cormier, dillet, mike francios... You can even add the likes of fux, gunter, ruhl
All mentioned all would have or did place above him
-
2001?
-
The whole era of the late 90's and early 2000's was extremely competitive and full of great, dedicated bodybuilders who were using everything under the sun...Remember that none of the bodybuilders were dropping like flies in this time so the doses kept getting higher and higher and nobody toned it down...It's only until fairly recently that you hear of alot of people dying that used to be bodybuilders so this means that in THIS ERA they have somewhat "toned it down" as far as being dry and shredded because of the stories they heard...I think alot less abuse of orals and alot less diuretics are being used these days in bodybuilding (even alot less, it's still alot don't get me wrong) but they're leaning more towards size and compounds that hold water which is why we don't see the conditioning anymore like we used to...With the exception of some i think the closest right now that places top 5 in the olympia would be dennis wolf
-
What was it?
Rec drugs.. Pain pills in the thousands
-
That video was the best he ever looked.
He never looked that good again in the amateurs
or pros.
If in doubt...google the Craig titus, Tom Prince photo
shoot after that contest. He looked awesome and IMHO
should have beat Craig.
