A good friend's father played summer ball with him in their youth. He said he never met a stronger man than Wilton Norman Chamberlain. He was a hero to me in the sporting sense of the word as well as a true Jazz enthusiast and nigh on all 'round renaissance man. And one of, if not the, best athlete the world has ever seen.

My uncle went to Overbrook High with him in Philly. Definitely the best athlete the NBA has ever seen.

With the possible exception of Babe Ruth, Wilt is the most dominant American Athlete ever in the history of team sports. Just look at his stats. Also, blocked shots were not counted when he played.
