One of the European Grand Prix shows. I think that Taylor won this contest.
-
They both looked great ,Vince a little bit sharper.
-
Damn! That was a great short video. Vince was awesome. If Vince had Chad Nicoles to do his conditioning, he would have been 98 Colemanesque. Dude has all the muscle he needs. Won a ton of shows just not the Olympia.

Vince still looks great at nearly 60.

The more I revisit pics and videos of bodybuilding from the 70's to the mid 90's the more it hits home how much the "sport" sucks today.
-
Levrone never really had great legs, did he?

He has great legs. his bdb was his worst pose and greatest weakness.

Kevs legs early in his career looked good, he had back issues I believe...

And was audience was applauding Vince Taylor as soon as he hit his rear double bicep pose.
-
at the end of that clip they both hit some impressive most muscular poses

Vince Taylor was one of the best ever.
Guy always looked great with almost no glaring weak points.
-
Both looked amazing.
Taylor, pretty much flawless.

Too much oil and gh guts.
If i want to see a pic of a bodybuilder i look at Serge Nubret.
-
Two greats from the 90s, much better than today's bloated pigs... Levrone had great legs in 1991-1992, at his peak, after they regressed year after year...
-
No distended midsection. Would not hit. 58.98478% homo.

You don't see Ab-thigh shots like that anymore...
Phil and company need to take a look at these vids and say to the judges, we need to bring this look back.

sport
;D ;D ;D
This is why I read Getbig.

Just a little gay how they had to be so close to each other.
Vince is one of the few bodybuilders who looked great decade after decade. Kevin is looking good now after his physique looked atrocious in a couple of pictures when he stopped competing.

"My friend Vince Taylor 5x Mr Olympia Master (59 years old !) still looking good !"
-
Looking back, Vince was probably my absolute favourite from this period. Based on absolutely nothing other than guesswork, I see him as ageing like Robby Robinson - either immune to the damage that juice does, or they just never needed quite the same amount as everyone else to look the way they did... Probably rose-tinted glasses I'm sure... Decent biceps though...

That's because for sure he had great genes for responding and resisting, a great bodybuilder who also was very consistent and never had periods of blowing-up with a gut like others... Probably never did go the route of heavy peptides abuse...

You gotta remember Vince's first pro show was at age 33. I don't know what he was doing before that so he started late compared to others back then.
If I had to come up with weaknesses for Vince, it would be a fuller upper chest and drier condition and this is nitpicking. Some may say bigger legs, I disagree, thats a modern trend. At one point in time he was the most "winning" IFBB Pro until Levrone or Ronnie overtook him.
Best calves I've ever seen on a brotha. In the running for best arms all to time.

I'm with you on the oversized legs, but I think Vince's are pushing skinny. Haney had smaller legs, too, but they didn't seem skinny, just a bit underdevelpoed. Which was fine.
Also think Vince's calves were kinda short (or high); though, yeah, not bad for a brother. Dillet and Heath excluded, of course.
-
effing look at that abdominal control both displayed there! a thing unheard of now. what a f-ucked up "sport".

Well said. I think when Vince came back in 2006-2008, his legs were down a bit from his pro shows from 1989-2002. But I think they were fine during his main run as a pro. Not at the level of Nasser, but still very good.

This was probably the best show I ever attended - Vince smashed it but was a great atmosphere all around and the athletes looked the way Bodybuilders should. Today the sport is embarrassing and I haven't attended a show for many years

Was this the one where Lenda Murray guest posed? (They've all blurred together in my mind) Wow she was gorgeous in the flesh, and petite too! V feminine
