I am feeling sick after work outs, not wanting to eat or anything. What could be causing this?
-
is this a new thing or have you felt this before is it every workout how do you feel the rest of the time etc
-
It happens sometimes and I cant figure out what is doing it. During my work out I feel fine maybe a little tired towards the end, but when i get home i feel like queezy and do not wana eat.

It's normal not to be hungry immediately after a workout, with the metabolism and body temperature raised.
Typically the hunger sets in as the body's metabolism returns to normal, an hour or more later.
IF you're feeling sick from trying to eat immediately afterwards, why do you persist in doing this? Relax until your body tells you it's time.

Drink or eat a moderate amount of simple sugars immediately after working out. for example, gatorade, juice, fruit, etc. something to stimulate your stomach. Try and your appetite should return quickly after a workout. Then you need to eat the healthy meal afterwards.

sometimes i really dont feel like eating either....i found it was from all the water i was drinking while training....made me full and sick...plus i have the preworkout meal being digested already. so maybe thats your problem.

What's the rush to eat right after? Reschedule so that you eat when you become hungry. Water during the workout would also bloat the stomach and cause a temporary loss of appetite, ya.

What you eat right after a workout is important. You need to get something in you right away-- within 15-20 minutes-- after stopping for better recovery. Drinking water and Gatorade along the way is not sufficient.
As a runner, I can tell you that when I finish a long run, the last thing I want to see (nevermind eat) is food--
If I lift heavy for legs or run hard laps at the track often my stomach is really trashed too---UGH! ...Still it is really important to get down something with protein if possible--
I couldn't stomach real food for hours ---so I use the Endurox mix now and it makes a huge difference with reducing soreness and how I feel overall until I can eat something later.

I think getting enough liquids is important, but food is not necessary at all immediately after working out. Shower, relax, wait for the appetite to tell you when it's time, which will happen soon enough without forcing it.
