A good number of years ago I was at a local SoCal contest and Shawn Ray spoke to the audience; maybe he'd guest posed, can't recall for sure.

Anyway, one of the points he made about the Olympia is that if you have mostly the same contestants every year, and you have the same judges every year, you get the same results every year.

This made a lot of sense to me.  So if this year's judges are the same as before, Health will win again.

Certainly one thing that is interesting in all the threads here today is the disparity in predictions:  some think Heath deserves to win, some think Wolf should win, some for Dexter, and some for Rhoden.  Just goes to show what a subjective, and fiercely competitive, sport this is.

The problem is this no transparency in the judging and the judges and Jim Manion make no real efforts to show more transparency in the judging.  The only reason one with do this is if there was something to hide and you didn't want to the people to know how you were judging.

Shawn was right,they should change/alternate judges at the O yearly.

Phill wins, no one 'beat' him... They all look shit, no matter who judges..
