Terrible.

Just getting beat up ridiculously by NE.

I have a soft spot for them too... The late 80s / Early 90s Bills were just so good.

Interesting in seeing how the rest of the season plays out.

They might have overdone the "deflate" stuff a bit. This is probably not the season to piss off Brady.

Eh... In the long run, he's kind of done really.

Nothing against Brady, but his arm is obviously not what it used to be... I think by the end of the season, his age will start to be a factor.

We shall see though.

There's a reason why the offense does not consist of any long balls anymore.

His arm is suspect.

Short passes, he's accurate and great, he just can't sling it like he used to.

It's football... It's what happens.

Buffalo is a serious team... Even if they lose, they have played VERY well on both sides of the ball. Outside of the QB position (I'm not sold on Tyrod Taylor, as I wasn't sold on him at VT.) they are doing very well.

repubs want brady to be senator or governor or president one day.

rex ryan is the biggest blowhard in the NFL for a decade now.

I was just rooting for injuries this game.

off topic, drew brees got old.  Bucs just gave him 50 chances to beat them, and he just can't pass anymore.

Patriots almost had a massive collapse. The Bills scored 19 points in the 4th to get within 6.

The Patriots didnt flinch or fold, and calmly finished out the game like the defending champs.

I was scared shitless  towards the end  :-X

The Bills QB threw too many interceptions. Can't win if the Bill's QB is throwing the ball to the Patriot's safeties and cornerbacks

Yes, the Giants can have those 07 and 2011 wins. Ill take 4 championships, and 6 appearances since the 2001 season. Not to mention being in contention every year.

The Giants cant even make the playoffs  :D

You left out that the guy who turned the Patriots around was former Giant Head Coach Bill Parcells who then passed the baton to former Giant defensive coordinator Bill Bellichick.

Just keep in mind that every ring they have does have an air of deceit about them.

And now, this headset shit.

You think it's all just coincidence?

Missed this earlier Wiggs... didn't mean to skip it.

He's had quite a few deep throws.... To various receivers... Yes, Randy Moss was the best, but if you look at his overall numbers, he was deep in 2007 (Obviously Moss) and even later until he broke his leg, then after he came back, his deep threat pass completion numbers went to absolute shit.

It's just getting worse as his arm is not what it used to be... It's the life of a 38 year old QB in the NFL. It happens.

He's still fantastic under 15 yards and look, Bellicheck will find a scheme that works for him... That's what he does.

I have always said that Bellicheck is what makes that team so great... Remember, they won 11 games the year that Brady was out with a broken leg... 11... with Matt Cassel who has done nothing since then.

Gotta agree with TH. With older qbs like Brady and Manning, the probabilities favor their wearing down, rather than get stronger, as the season progresses.

You are right, I really do not hate the Giants. Parcells holds a special place with me, and Belichick is obviously my favorite coach of all time.

My dad is a Giants fan, so I watch them all of the time too.

That's to be expected.

I think my favorite Coach is John Madden, but that's just because I liked him as an announcer and of course EA Sports.

Other than that though, I definitely give credit.

Shula, Bellicheck, Marv Levy, Bill Walsh.

These guys are all at the top of my list.

Lol

Remember that Superbowl Moss helped Brady win.....

Outside of Jerry Rice who was the last dominate wide receiver to get a team a Superbowl, Irvin (and that's a stretch on the run dominant Cowboys)?

The big play wide out argument is dumb, Brady wins nothing without an excellent defense, so stop with the deep threat. Dudes not going to play forever, his arm isn't at level Manning deterioration, but at the same time he wasn't ever known for having a cannon.

Yeah I thought about those Rams teams, but the Superbowl win was when Holt was a rookie, before he was "elite" it was still Issac Bruce but Marshall  Faulk was the real driving force.

Idk  how I look at Hines, great great football player, HOF worthy numbers but was he a dominant wide out in that era (I'm not saying he isn't but the NFL voting process is tough)?

Harrison is the last  "game changer".

To be fair, the Patriots have had at least 2 elite offensive threats since the '07 season.

Moss and Welker

Welker, Gronk, and Aaron Hernandex

Gronk and Edelman

Gronk and Edelman can stack up against any other teams one/two punches.

Both are absolute beasts. Shredded Buffalo's supposed top 3 D today.

Will be interesting to see what happens when they get into Foxboro... The season is long and hard. Today's 2-0 team can be 2-2 in a couple of weeks... The football gods are fickle and unforgiving.

Well, if it was given to you by Bellicheck, he would have written the fortune himself and stuffed it into the Fortune cookie, then pretended that he didn't do it and didn't know where it came from.

Then when found out he did so, he would claim he had no idea he couldn't tamper with the fortune cookies and then you would convince yourself that every other coach tampers with the fortune cookies too.

I wouldn't go that far. The Seahawks are still the team to beat in the NFC west. ) 0-2 is not good, but a team like that can climb out of it.

The 2 games they have with the Cardinals will probably go a long way in deciding the division.  Or maybe the Seahawks wont be all that good this year.......Ravens 0-2 Saints 0-2.......Seattle will probably be battling for the division again though.

They actually have a relatively young team  ::)  Besides, Brady is showing no signs of slowing down. He has 7 TDs and 0 ints already.

Unfortunately, the franchise may rest on the shoulders of a 38 year old quarterback. Who know if they will remain a good team when Brady leaves. Look at what happened with the Dolphins after Marino left  :-\

They were good in the mid 80's. Marino got them to a superbowl. The point was that Marino actually gave the Dolphins hope and a chance to win. They have been mostly a disappointment (save a decent year here or there) since he left. Tannehill is one of the first QBs that might actually develop into a good quarterback (besides Pennington)

Did get the playoffs in the late 90s with Jimmy Johnson I recall.

Doesn't matter if they win their div...If they lose tonight against GB, it's like being back 3 games for home field. They certainly aren't going into GB in the winter and beating GB in a playoff game. Lose tonight against GB and they can basically forget about a SB run...

Marino was a one trick pony who was so selfish about his stats that he fucked his team. Many teams let the coke head throw between the 20s all day...They knew he was never going to hand it off. He made it to the Superbowl his rookie year and never again...

That might be a little harsh..... Marino was the precursor to today's NFL. His career, the 80s and early 90s, took place during the ground and pound era, it wasn't until the last 5 years before any of his season records were even being sniffed,  for years no one came close and now it's nothing to throw for 5000 yards.

He had no dominant tail back, Elway was considered a loser until he got Terell Davis. I think he had Sammie Smith and Bernie Parmelle. Jimmy Johnson tried to help him with Cecil Collins and Kareem Abdul Jabra.

He didn't win a Superbowl but during his peak no one from the AFC did.
