I remember when I was working in Buffalo and the end of September started to really get cold.

I imagine it's worse where you are.

Potato in a winter outfit... too cute. Does she not try to take the boots off? I had a smaller dog that just hated any kind of stuff on her feet.

Haha, I went to a game last night as well. Not sure if you heard as it made National news but a local kid beat up a blind kid at school. It was one of my athletes that jumped in and saved the blind by fucking up the bully. He got suspended from the team for helping the blind kid but the bully (from what I heard) got arrested today. This was sent to me in a text by one of the team moms.

Ya saw that...good on your athlete. Stupid suspending him...it was an honorable and correct thing to do.

There is a local petition to get him back on the team. So proud of this kid.

Stupid school. The sad thing is that no matter what this kid did, he most likely would have gotten suspended. Lets say he just took the bully and pushed him away or just subdued him for a brief moment, the school would still have had an issue with it and suspended him. There is pretty much a ZERO policy rule for not placing your hand on someone else in school, even if its protecting another student. You're expected to get a teacher.  ::) ::)

If anything more happened to that kid other than the team suspension the entire community of HB would come unglued. I don't know one person who thinks he didn't do the right thing. Public opinion would change that in a heartbeat.

Also, going on social media with "I handled my shit, you fcckers" - Don't do that.  Just say "I protected this innocent kid".  If the principal asked him "what happened", and his verbal response was "I handled my shit" - - that could explain the suspension right there.   The way you explain saving the blind kid shouldn't be a profane explanation of "handling your shit".

It's awesome he punked that jackass bully... I'd applaud the kid if I saw him, I'd probably do the same thing in real life if I saw a blind kid getting beaten.  But being more graceful with retelling the incident may have kept him out of hot water.

LOL @ Huntington Beach coming unglued.  I can imagine the riots.  People hitting their maids with Gucci bags and leaving their Henri Jayer Richebourg Grand Cru bottles in the sand instead of placing them in recycling bins.

Yeah, he could have pulled kid, stood in middle, pushed him - I mean, the bully was actively swinging, so he had to act fast.  But that punch was HARD, looked like he knocked the kid out.  Could have killed him.  Might have hurt less to be smacked with a 2x4 lol.  He used his fist as a serious weapon, so from the school's point of view, I get it.

Still, I think "I handled my shit" may have been painted the entire incident in the wrong light.  He's on social media saying "I'll tell you fcckers...."    If he's polite and reverent and clear - "I defended this poor kid" - I bet he walks.  If he's in the office laughing about "I handled my shit", well, if it comes down to administrator judgment, the puncher statement weighs into that, certainly.

No, it would not have. As I said, there is a ZERO policy for what he did. There had to be some repercussions. I don't agree with the school because clearly the kid was protecting the blind kid, but its just the way schools work. It sucks that they couldn't see the reason behind his actions, but schools are always so nervous about stuff like this, so they need to protect their own ass.

You're trolling as usual. HB is a very wealthy community. They don't have to have riots to make things happen. Know your place.

oh i'm sure they saw the reasons behind his punch.  I totally get the school's POV.  The kid on the ground might have lost teeth when he fell.  Parents can sue for that.

IMHO, it's an over-escalation.   Punk bully is hitting blind kid... so this hero kid escalated with a monster sucker punch, putting his body into it, and lays the bully out with some punch WAY harder than what the bully was offering.  The hero kid came outta nowhere at a blind target too.   But that punch could have killed the kid.

Zero tolerance has some bend.  He could have stood in the middle, and let the little punk punch HIM instead.  He could have pulled him away, I don't think he's suspended.  The attack was underway, happening at that moment.   But you're right, no student can be the punisher, handling his shit as he sees fit.

Zero tolerance may have some bend, but not when you lay another student out cold, even if he was protecting another student. It's the way school systems work. I didn't make the rules. I'm just stating what they are. Each school district may have different policies for a student placing a hand on another student, no matter the reason.

And I meant he's suspended from the team.

You did say it:

Know your place.

Oh I'm quite sober these days.
I spend a few nights a month playing high end resorts in siesta key, marco island or naples.   Flamenco guitar and violin tonight.   Beautiful world we live in... all trolling aside.  It's 74 degrees, I have sand in my toes, I create amazing things and everyone healthy and happy.   Life is good.
Getbig just helps with a late dinner and unwinding.

Oh and I'd shake the hand of the kid that punched the punkass bully.

I can see taking the 3 day hit  - suspension from school.

BUT i wouldn't remove him from any sports team.   Even if they call it an error in judgment, that can impact college, etc.  And do they kick kids off the chess team if they're caught smoking, etc?   This kid over-reacted, yes, suspension.  But football is pretty big, kids do it for 5-7 years before they even reach high school sometimes.  Can't take that away for one over-reaction when a blind kid is getting pummelled.

As someone who works hand in hand with recruiters every year this kid would get a pass on character alone. If he gets recruited this won't affect his chances on iota.
