Mitchell A. Love old John Byrne X-Men comics. Used to read all the ones my older brother had.
-
All those comics were true classics.
-
No interest in xmen. Sinister dexter was good. Also there was a ps1 game called shadowman based on a comic. The story of thegame was amazing but the comic that would make a brilliant film
-
John Bryne with terry Austin's inks were incredible
-
I think his work on fantastic four was even more detailed, if that's possible. Also one of my favorite superman renditions. You can see where Todd mcfarlane got a lot of his influence.
-
Good write up.............Byrne was awesome but I was only a fan of the original X-Men.
-
I loved Byrne's work when he did the OMAC 4 issue mini series back in the early 90s.
Great stuff.

I used to have that issue, along with most of the new x-men from 94 up. Stopped collecting a few years after that issue came out and sold'em all.

Every getbigger can agree on that John Byrne + Terry Austin made magic back in the day.
-
Byrne and Austin took comic art to another level in the 80s the same way Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott did in the 60s.
-
John Buscema/Tom Palmer/Christie Scheele did some awesome work in the Avengers mags!!
