I've grown to be quite fond of American egg hand ball, but why are they showcasing the NFL abroad with 2 of the worst teams?

Playing pro American football in the UK is utterly retarded.

Well the long term aim is a London based franchise, I don't think it would be practical... Would fill Wembley each week easily enough tho

I'm sorry...Here allow me to make it up to you.  Would you like the Chargers?  They're looking for a free home.

The NFL is fast becoming just like the NBA.  Worthless, time consuming and ghettoized beyond recovery.  A collection of millionaire freeloaders.  So please, take the Chargers.  San Diego needs pro sports like LA needs another riot.

Shoot, while you're at it take the Raiders too.  ;D

It's a money generator for the NFL. Bear in mind also that there are many US military personnel that are based in the UK who look forward to these events.
I remember talking to my brother's university friend (originally from Tennessee but studying in the UK) and he told me that the thing he misses most living away from the US is being unable to watch much American football.

Good question on the teams.  Would be good to get the patriots over there, as they are east coast , and defending champs.  I lived in London for a time, and was surprised at how many Londoners would be at The Sport Zone in Piccadilly late night just to watch American Football.

The Patriots have been before.

I believe the Jaguires also.

They just pick a matchup every year between two east coast teams and send them.

To do this for a team every week would be a disaster. Once a year, fine. 16 times? No way.

If they had it frequently it would end up like "The World League of American Football". (Hi Stan Gelbaugh) and would collapse. There wouldn't be enough consistent interest to maintain a team.

The Bills often get to play a "home game" in Toronto as well, lol.

Pats went over and played the London Silly Nannies when Peter Griffin joined the team.
