The weird thing is that he assumes because someone trolls him online, that means they must be an automatic failure in real life. I am not too sure how or why he is making that connection. They are mutually exclusive.

No shit, Getbig is full of millionaires and trolls, so his argument falls on its face. In all seriousness though, it astounds me how people like him have no ability to be objective and see their own flaws. He whines like a little girl.

Agreed. He gets VERY defensive.
Again, trolling someone on instagram is not a good indication if they are successful or not. With today's modern technology, you can be in an office meeting making a multi-million dollar deal while trolling Phil on instagram (exaggerated for effect). :D :D

Most immature Mr Olympia ever.

How so? That's everyday for a getbigger.

Yes, Phil is part of the technology generation (my generation too). It will only get worse as technology progresses. Can you imagine how the Mr. O in 2025 will respond to the haters!! :D :D

Phil should have asked, "How much does a Bic pen and one grapefruit cost? Because that is how much it cost him.", and left it at that.

That is not how you shut down a hater.

When i think of a champion and a current Mr olympia winner with several titles...I think of someone that does not talk trash online...He is humble but confident in himself (opposite of Heath) he is able to take criticism and he accepts that he's gonna have people that hate him and he's just gonna keep working harder and ignore them....None of that nice BS where he's like (I'm gonna prove them wrong ;)) No...It's more like i'm just gonna block them out and not let them affect me because i have a mission to accomplish and i'll be damned if someone online can take it away....He did well by deleting his insta a week out from the contest to focus..That was a good move...But everything since then has been bad...Looks like he's resorted back to his old self

I can see massive insecurity in his writings. However, one has to take them with a pinch of salt. Phil, most likely, takes an enormous amount of drugs. There is no way to tell what effect they have on his mental state.
-
can you imagine arnold replying to all the hate online about the maid and maybe his time as governor? He knows he's winning with fame and hundreds of millions in the bank, it doesn't matter what strangers opinions are.
-
If he can only be a bit more harsh he would be able to run for president
-
Maybe a kickboxer can heal his mental ailments during an Expo.

When i think of a champion, i dont envision they are beta enough to even have social media accts. its a new world out there, sad really

yes that would suffice...it's always easier to be marketable and advertise your products with having a big social media following...business is very different and has advanced in a different direction for better or for worse to a degree...we both know this

To sell his products; Phil must have Facebook, Instagram, YouTube
But he needs to learn to NOT RESPOND to online critics.

The people who put on the most bravado yet have to respond to EVERY critic are the ones that are the most fragile and feel the worst about themselves.
If it really didn't bother him and he had more going on, then he would not respond to every single negative comment. Maybe once or twice a month if at all.
Since nobody calls him out on his Bullshit, he will get worse. I also think his brain chemistry is affected.

Phil keeping it real with the haterz

Actually they ARE mutually exclusive. People who run successful companies, build businesses from the ground up and make bank are way too busy to stalk celebrities on social media and spend time trolling for LOLs from the rest of the loser brigade.

Yes, but most of those people are NOT into bodybuilding. ::) ::) Its an extremely cult-like activity, so the people that are into it, tend to be REALLY into it, i.e., follow it passionately. Its no different than the people that troll baseball, football, baseball or hockey players. In fact, those people are even crazier than bodybuilding fans. Are you saying they are all failures too? ::) ::) You realize how many wealthy people bet on baseball games and talk so much shit to each other on the internet (to other fans and sport stars). In fact, many years ago I knew a few baseball nuts who were obsessed about baseball. Young business men who were quite successful. These guys would bet so much on sports, and go online and talk SO much smack to each other and to other fans and players. Were they not successful? ::) ::) The advent of technology has ushered in a new type of human. Not necessarily for the better.
Who said anything about STALKING? AYou do realize it takes about 4 seconds to write a trolling comment anywhere on the internet. You act like it takes days of stalking lol. Furthermore, the fact that Phil is a busy businessman and a bodybuilder and responds to many of the haters online, proves that one can be a busy person and still take time to respond on the internet. Phil does it all the time.

I would agree with this but I would also argue that someone who had more going on and was a successful business person would not have time to respond to all of the critics
I know real pro athletes who have way worse comments hurled at them and they don't respond because they have better things to do than to argue online with haters. They have businesses, families, and other projects to work on and not waste time with that mess

That's the thing. Being successful has nothing to do with it. Phil is probably very busy, yet he responds to A LOT of haters online. The fact that he is on social media and responding to the haters, would this make him unsuccessful? What it really comes down to is this: whether or not someone is going to devote any time to trolling or responding to the haters. The idea that successful people are too busy to respond on social media is dumb. In fact, to a certain extent, they may even have more time to respond than the average person who is working 3 jobs just to put food on the table. That is the difference between Phil and others. Despite his busy schedule, he still feels a deep need to respond to the haters.

You guys are confused. Phil IS THE BRAND. Being on social media is a requirement for anyone in the supplement industry where word of mouth is king. So part of his business is scrolling through his comments and answering questions from fans and potential customers. Comparing Phil with his haters because they're both using social media is no different than claiming the loser fanboys who heckle Tony Romo or Eli Manning are on equal footing with the objects of their obsession. Not saying it's impossible that a billionaire like Mark Cuban might throw a Twitter bomb every now and then but let's be honest. 98% of trolls are losers collecting disability checks with no use for their free time other than e-stalking.

I agree but you're supposed to be Above CONSTANTLY responding to the negativity. That makes your brand look bad if you're constantly going off on trolls. It just encourages these people even more because as you say they have nothing else going on
I can understand responding every once in a while but not every single day and about every single piece of criticism.

Let's leave Navy Mike out of this
