Francois used to train at a small powerlifting gym in Columbus OH. He said that there were many powerlifters at that gym who were stronger than he was.

Anywhere else; Francois would've been the strongest guy in the gym. But Francois decided to be humble and go to a gym where he was just another member; trying to make improvements.

I remember watching that particular AC live on ESPN. American Muscle Magazine was the name of the show(?).

the man who was to become King....career sadly cut short....never got crazy dry but would have been a top guy if not for his health issues

I remember the hype and was looking forward to seeing him against Yates on the Olympia stage but he got a little lost in the shuffle.

Then his body packed it in.

Francois won the 1995 ASC in March, but he couldn't get back into peak condition again that September.
