getting worse in Germany .. threats are very open now on the streets. The police investigate now.

There's such a strong anti Pegida movement here I can't see it getting any traction (except for maybe in the east).

I'm interested to see how tolerant the average German will be if and when the refugees start to obviously change things. A few smaller villages in my area with populations of 2000 or so have received around 500 refugees. That's going to make people uncomfortable.

Soon as these protests start to loose focus and lurch into nazi activity , that's when they loose the fight, if it stays normal people with concerns over the future of the country it may take off

yes spot on. It´s in fact a lot of "normal" citizens who are protesting but the Government automatically brands them as Racist . The unrest is rising more and more.

One of my english language students had been teaching German to the new refugees but she stopped after 3 weeks. We normally get on really well but for some reason she refuses to tell me why she's no longer interested in teaching the new arrivals.

Government can be as anti "Pegida" as they want, it will keep growing because decade long mischief is rearing its ugly head.
