Have any of you guys ever lost a sibling to tragic circumstances. This is going to lead to another question I just want to see how common it is before I ask.

You have my sympathies, friend.
-
My spouse.

Thanks you.
Never really got over it.
No one truly gets over losing a child. There is no such thing as "getting over it." You learn to integrate the experience, adapt, and manage the loss.
Be well.

I was not specifically referring to you. I was speaking in general terms.
When I mean, "no one truly gets over it," I meant that the hurt will always be there. You learn to cope and manage as best as possible, but the hurt will always be present.

I lost my best friend since I was 12 years old last year. He was as much of a brother to me as my actual brother, and died at work on a boat from an undiagnosed heart defect.

I lost my sister in a drunk driving accident 15 years ago, I was 20 at the time and she was just about to turn 19. Since we were close in age we spent a lot of time together, people would often confuse us for twins lol. She was the only person injured in the accident, three girls riding around drinking, they ran off the road and a tee post went through the windshield into the back seat and struck her in the head. She lived for eight days then was taken off life support. Every once in a while I dream about my family and she'll be there but she's never normal, in my dreams she is always injured and this bugs the living shit out of me. I have these dreams maybe two or three times a year but every time it takes a while to get over. Does anyone else experience this with there lost loved ones

Ha. i would say that's quite a normal reaction.
As there is no emotional involvement with some one you don't know.
Here on Getbig we are more caring.

I have lost a few, several within a short timespan.
-
My brother...car accident.
-
Youngest brother to suicide. As my mother taught me so very long ago, it's not always "it is what it is". Sometimes, it is what you make of it.
All the best.
-
Yes.
-
My Daughter.
... :-\
-
Wow,this thread is depressing.
My condolences to everyone here that has suffered a loss.
-
My Daughter.
Sorry to hear that brother :-\
-
In all seriousness, my condolences go out to all who have suffered a tragic loss. I cannot imagine the pain/grief. I hope you all find peace.
-
I haven't lost anyone in tragic circumstances but the thought of doing so is extremely frightening.
I am ill-equipped to handle something like that (but then again who isn't?) and would probably go under quickly and stay there for some time.
-
Recently my brother just got out of the closet. Yes, homo. :'(

I do hope the first question was to setup a brilliant troll on the second question.....
