Title: 2015 IFBB/NPC Titans - Phil Heath Guest Posing
Post by: Ron on October 18, 2015, 09:28:53 PM
Phil Heath still looked incredible a few weeks after his 5th Olympia win.

He took a lot of time to meet his fans, stayed until the end, and even came at prejudging to say hello to all.

Here are some pics . more pics will be on Bodybuilding.com and NPC News later on...

lol at people who say he doesn't have a small chest lol

Incredible? He looks like dog shit.

Ron, stop kissing the ass of the IFBB and its competitors. He does not look like a Mr. O.

He simply doesn't have the physique of what a Mr. Olympia is supposed to look like. He just doesn't.
That chest.  Good grief.

Stop complaining about a person that does not look like the wonder child and keeps their 3% conditioning from the Olympia.  Phil looks pretty good being a month+ after the contest.  The point is that he comes, meets the fans, and presents what a winner should be.  Cool, graceful and not an ass.

Which he was Saturday night.  So many people have misconceptions on Phil, that they don't bother to ever talk to him, but just assume what they read.  A simple hello would suffice.  What does the IFBB have to do with Phil's guest posing?  Damn, talk about mixing things.

Who cares if he meets the fan and is a "nice" guy. The Mr. O is not a personality contest. He's got a dog shit physique, and he is lucky to be competing in the worst era of bodybuilding.

You never EVER have anything bad to say about the IFBB, EVER!!!!  Your opinion about any IFBB pro is 100% biased.

Misconceptions? Hardly. Ever see the way he responds on social media? Guy is clearly an asshole. Get your nose out of his ass and look at the bigger picture.

What does the IFBB have to do with phil's guest posing? Um, nothing. But Phil represents the IFBB. If you bash Phil, you indirectly bash the IFBB. Phil is directly a representative of the IFBB. Thus, it is not mixing things. With Phils 5 straight wins, he IS the IFBB, as any Mr. O is.

He doesn't look fat and sloppy which is how I saw a Mr Olympia guest pose before...In all fairness as i've said before, he's fantastic with the fans in person. He looks them in the eye and is very good at interacting with  people. He isn't rude and snooty like others IN PERSON. Online is another story and says enough

His head and face is the only thing that looks poofy

Fairly positive post

The IFBB is the organization that Phil competes in.  You just don't like Phil - you think he looks bad. Clearly, many of us do not.  And oh yes, many times in the past I have said that various bodybuilders don't look great at all (to the point of having one of them actually meet me at the next contest, and yell at me like I hurt his feelings).  Phil looked the best at the Olympia... not as good as he had in the past, but still the best on stage. Kai wasn't ready to compete. Sad enough.  You clearly have something against Phil.  Which is fine. Your opinion.  Hundreds to not.  But based on what you wrote, you have never met him, never talked to him, but like many other people, watch from afar.  Boy, if I judged people from what I hear about them, it wouldn't be fair.

Judged from what we hear about him? We don't hear anything. Just read his facebook and instragram and look how he talks to people. That is evidence from the horses mouth! He calls people losers and pathetic and makes jokes about peoples mom. Can you not read? Have you not seen all the stuff he says to people on hiss social media accounts? We don't have to base our opinion on what we hear about him. We base our opinions on what he says about people on his social media sites. We all can read here--well, most of us.

He looks shitty. All bodybuilders look shitty these days. Phil looks the less shittiest in an era of shitty bodybuilders. If that is enough to win  a contest, so be it. He still looks like shit from a bodybuilding perspective.

At least you are admitting you can't stand behind the fact that most of your forum thinks this is an underwhelming Mr. O because of politics/hurt feelings.

Each person has their own opinion as to who should of been the Olympia champion each year.  I have said quite a few times that Flex Wheeler should of won it one year, and Kevin Leverone another year.  To each his own.

But, for the last few years, the outcome was correct. Phil Heath is the winner.  Even various Kai Greene fans would admit that.

And with the new Classic Physique style, will that bring out the more 'symmetrical and conditioned' old school style competitors to the stage? We shall see.

Agree on Phil, but PLEASE...there's NEVER been a year where Flex showed up to the O anywhere NEAR good enough to beat Dorian or Ronnie.

Man, Getbig HAS changed.   :-\

Yeah...Ron wants it to be a pit, so he let it become one.

All bodybuilding fans will say he looks weird in the first pic.
It's middleweight's chest/delt area.

But yes, he has deserved to win his Olympia's, not his fault the other guys aren't good enough to beat him.

If this is the type of physique that we have to look forward to gracing the dais, then its no wonder so many of us look back to Zane, Arnold, Reeves, Mentzer,  Park, Pearl, Oliva, Paris  and so many others.   I don't think Haney is all that great (but far better than Heath) and find Yates to be grossly overdone in his pursuit of size but still better overall than Phil.

If others think differently that's fine.  The squatty, obese with legs better suited to an elephant emerged with the likes of Yates and turds like Tom Prince.   I would call this not so much size for the sake of size  but rather size for the sake of sighs.  In other words, it's a schmoe world after all.  Fetishists.

Since schmoes think with their dicks, I know that I am writing over their heads.

As for the popularity of Heath?  A billion flies eat shit but that doesn't make it a Happy Meal.

The majority of complaints I have heard are from people who remember the "Good Old Days" Now which Good Old Days people talk about depends on when you were a big fan.  You have the older guys who lament the loss of the Arnold/Zane era and then the people who remember the glory years of the 1990's and talk about that.

I will say I didn't think Phil looked very good at the Mr. Olympia...He didn't really impress the Non Bodybuilding people around as well.  Nobody went WOW!  I think that's what people are looking for.  For me a WOW wouldn't be for size but just for beauty and presence of the male form.  That's why I liked Rhoden the best even though his presence isn't good.

My suggestion for the 2016 season is that the IFBB sits these guys down and explain stage presence, stage energy, and looking alive onstage.  Also anybody who begs for applause while marching around the stage gets marked down.

I sure as shit hope he's a nice guy and stays until the end for the fans.  He charges what -- $5,000 or $10,000 for an appearance, right?

Symmetry vs Mass - the same debate since the Dorian Yates days.

Usually, the mass monsters win over symmetry - to the chagrin of some, but to the pleasure of others.

So do people go to the shows to see a 300 pound mass freak or a 220 pound bodybuilder who is in perfect symmetry.

Mass usually wins.

Lots of mass doesn't mean poor symmetry. Yates had great symmetry. Phil has a major symmetry problem with the chest.
