I gotta go with later '99-2000 after he sized up but before his back injury hampered his leg training. He was somewhat off for the '99 O but killed some of the GP shows afterward.

Best Levrone IMO, with shortly after he went pro not far behind.

Best lighting ever

Easy his second place to Dorian at the olympia, after that he tried to carry to much mass and never got his condition right, the pec hurt him later on as well , but mainly condition. All time Best.
Dorian 93 olympia
Wheeler ironman 93
Levrone 92 olympia
Honourable mention Ron Coleman for ripped muscle mass alone, structure wise, he wasn't on the same level as the guys mentioned above, and he competed in the all drugs era of bodybuilding which seemed to start after Dorian in 93. All the guys above also went down the same path of size at the cost of shape. Bodybuilding peaked in 93, since then its been on a slide. Now outside of a very few most look like walking side effects,

hard to say because his legs was better before like 95 or something but his upperbody got better after that

1994 Mr O

Levrone like flex were better early on their career, it was hit or miss after, their name carried them further than their physique did
That back injury excuse for Levrone not "properly training legs" is ridiculous ::) u have one job and that's full time bbing, yet after "retirement" he makes vids of him squatting 500 oh brother

Amazing how the body can change sooooo much!

Rare Footage of Kevin post 1995 Olympia Grand Prix.
Great balance, size aesthetics and condition.
Would have won this years Olympia easy like this.
Phil takes the BDB and that's it.
A good mix between his 1992 very conditioned leg heavy version
and his beefier, 1998-99 versions. In 2000 his legs started going down.

The whole contest...Easy Win!
KL's pre judging mandatories at 11:40 and he looks even better
than the night show posing.

Dude was a very impressive lifter on tape. He was clearly in tune with his body and might be the best ever and the transformation from a no one off season to a monster.

I saw that video last week somewhere else. That's the best I've ever seen him. Even his bdb is great which imo was a flaw for him. That was a perfect weight and look for him. He is Phil Heath with width. This version of Levrone beats Heath.

Insane receptors...

Just the finishing touch.

Better than every single version of Heath

I saw him beat Ronnie at the 1998 San Fran pro and he was incredible.
Two weeks later Ronnie won the night of champs and later that year Olympia.

Compared to today's bodybuilders, that early Kevin Levrone looks amazing.
Do today's "athletes" just not push their body's limits anymore? Bad drugs? Poor diet/training?
Does another all-time great have to appear on the scene to make the other competitors push themselves? Or is it all about money/drugs?
In every other sport, the athletes have improved as time has passed. It really is frustrating and borderline intolerable to watch. Maybe the classic physique bodybuilding class will be entertaining.
^shouldn't have used the word sport when comparing with bodybuilding

Chad Nicholl's said that current day bodybuilders are under-trained
