Christopher Reeve juiced up for a 10 week span, training under David Prowse for his role.
He put on some muscle.

not seen david wilson as superman, what series was this? he looks terrible.
Reeve is clearly the winner, tall big frame, his face was spot on. I don't know if they still do it but in the 90's when i collected comics superman was always drawn with a strong resemblance to Reeve. Routh was just a  lookalike copy of Reeve and Cavill did ok. Let's be honest, when another 20 or 30 years has passed Reeve will still be the standout performance along with the theme tune

He played Supes in a TV musical... "It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Superman." was the name.

Surprised to hear he used steroids. I always thought he was just a naturally big framed guy who just did moderate amounts of weight training.
I'd expected him to be more muscular if he was juicing.

It's a pity Superman 4:The Religion of Peace, is regarded as one of the worst movies of all time! :D

Throwing his logo was also cheezy to the max in S2.

Richard Pryor of peace was not much better than part 4.

Richard Pryor of peace was not much better than part 4.

The did a Superman 2 Richard Donner cut that made it much better, they also did a Superman 3 - Smallville Cut that focused a lot more on things going on around smallville and less with Richard Pryor. It also made for a better movie.

If you can find them around on torrents somewhere, you should look them up.

I think the Donner cut of Superman 2 may even be on iTunes somewhere.
