That second shot is very impressive.

He had some good potential despite what many say...But even if he was the top bodybuilder in the world right now he wouldn't even be half as famous and rich as he is right now...He made the right choice...

Someone who is NOT wider than heath.

Cena is so narrow with midget proportions.  I know he is not too short, but he has a short mans body.

EXTREMELY Narrow.

Yessss, and he's been in some movies as well he probably made the best decision of his life...But if he was just going to be an average joe then maybe the bb route would have been better...He had a greater calling in life...

You have to respect that the he stays in incredible shape year round (actually he has been on television week-in-week-out for well over 10 years now and has maintained his conditioning). Plus the fact that he lives on the road, wrestles several matches a week/media appearances and has had some major injuries along the way (torn pec, broken neck etc.).

It is remarkable how he (or any of the other pro wrestlers really) manage to keep a nutrition and training regime, their bodies must feel like crap most days.

Yes it's very easy to live in an apartment and train clients online and have no job and bodybuild as far as drugs, training and food go. BUT to be someone of his stature and have all these mandatory things to do and be in the public spotlight always...It makes it that much harder

His upper body is impressive, but his legs are no where near national, much less world class, level.

Is this a serious question?  ??? ???

Gear + training = big muscles.

I am sure he stays in hotels that have gyms or have gyms near them. A 1-hour intense work, good genetics and gear, will maintain his muscularity and strength.

6'1"

Isn't that the height he's billed as by the WWE? He's probably just under 6ft in reality but they will always add an inch or two to their performers.

it was because , other wrestlers don't work half the schedule cena works plus personal appearance and movies plus injury rehab yet he has lost little over the years he has worked despite broken necks, noses, tears etc etc.

He looks like the tallest midget of all time....He could be 6'5" and he would still look like a short person...But despite that i think he could have been a good bodybuilder...But as i've said he's made the right choice

Pro wrestling has to be the most unhealthiest sport. It's brutal. They have to do everything a pro bodybuilder does as far as hormones and pain killers plus they have to actually perform. And though it might be fixed those falls are real falls. And they aren't 90 lb gymnasts. And being constantly on the road with the different time zones has to be a killer. How can you train consistently and get those meals in to maintain that size when you live out of a suit case?

I agree that it was at one time the most unhealthy sport/profession (or whatever you want to call it) even more so than bodybuilding.

However I think in recent years, especially since the Chris Benoit thing, WWE has had a complete turnaround in terms of injury and drug policies. I think for the most part, steroid and painkiller abuse is something that has been stamped out (although I'm sure there are still some exceptions). Concussions, injuries and bleeding are actually being treated seriously now. And they apparently have a strict drug testing policy, the effects of which can be seen in the much smaller physiques of most of the current wrestlers.

But if you go back to the heyday of wrestling it's hard to believe just how brutal and seedy a lifestyle it was. When you consider that most of the roster were walking around at 260+, in shape (most much bigger in fact) and the toll that matches and travelling would take on such large frames, it was no wonder that steroids, painkillers and recreational drug cocktails were the norm.

Let's not go overboard here, everybody is wider than Heath, period!!

I'll say Cena is 1.1 Heaths wide.. just measured his proportion.. trust me on this  8) 8)

got that right, probably why there's so many premature deaths in the industry, all the painkillers and concoctions. Some of the injuries are crazy, the sid vicious leg snap springs to mind

Most of the top stars in the WWE like Cena still use drugs but are probably given advance notice of the testing dates so have to work around it. Either that or the industry just totally ignores any test which they fail.

The mid and lower tier guys are more at risk of getting busted and the WWE I'm sure are glad that a few guys fail the tests since it makes their organization look like their serious on tackling the drug issue.
The death of Benoit was imo, the biggest factor in the decline of the WWE. One of the biggest appeals of wrestling as a kid is seeing these huge, musclebound and larger-than-life characters. The smaller guys, no matter how skilled, are just not going to cause that much of an impression on a child in the same way someone like Ultimate Warrior could.

All match outcomes are predetermined but they "test" because of all the deaths of wrestlers over the years. Especially since the Chris Benoit incident  :-X
