one of the issues I face--told by 2 doctors--is that my meds, paxil and epival will destroy my weight loss ability. Ive simply accepted that but still eat exceptionally well and exercise. My cardio is up a million percent from 2 months ago and so is my strength. I dont think my appearance will ever change much, but oh well, Im prettier than nzmm so thats enough for me :D

Yeah but you would lose tons of weight in a concentration camp. Take doctors word with a grain of salt.

After reading alot on the subject, it seems no one, including docs, definitively knows how or why many of these type of meds cause weight gain.
Though one I know of, Welbutrin, causes weight loss.
From my own use of paxil, it doesn't increase my appetite at all. It just seems to make my body cling to fat. Even on sub 1000 calorie, no carb, high cardio I just couldn't lose any significant
weight. And on a single tame cheat meal I would put on pounds and inches. Which was nuts!
Which is all why when I cut weight I first go off paxil.

I used to take Seroquil........put on some serious weight,all in my gut.
I had no clue as to why I was getting so fat,then m doc told me it makes you gain weight.
I quickly had him change my medication.
I wish he would have told me from the start........asshole!!

Shit is good as a failsafe sleep aid. I was using trazodone as well but I can't stand that hangover feeling that persists halfway through the next day.
I reckon you get acclimated to the drug over time and this subsides, but I was only using it sparingly and in very low dosages. For some reason, higher dosages don't help with sleep as much.

Always assumed the hangover was due to the alpha-1 antagonism. Not fun either way.
