In the speech -- given at Andrews University, a school with ties to Carson's Seventh-day Adventist faith -- the neurosurgeon shot down claim that aliens had built the pyramids. But he also disagreed with the archaeological consensus that the pyramids were constructed as tombs for the pharaohs.
"My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain,Carson said. Now all the archaeologists think that they were made for the pharaoh graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I dont think itd just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain"

He's defending it. And yes, darwinism is the devil.
The leading Republican presidential candidate believes the ancient Egyptian pyramids were used for storing grain and not, as nearly all experts believe, as burial homes for Egyptian pharaohs.
“It’s still my belief, yes,” Dr. Ben Carson told reporters in Florida during a stop on his book tour Wednesday. “The pyramids were made in a way that they had hermetically sealed compartments. You wouldn’t need hermetically sealed compartments for a sepulcher. You would need that if you were trying to preserve grain for a long period of time.”
“Various scientists have said, ‘Well, you know there were alien beings that came down and they have special knowledge and that’s how—’ you know, it doesn’t require an alien being when God is with you.”
BEN CARSON
Carson is leading in Republican polls nationally and in the key early-voting state of Iowa, where his devout faith has helped him impress Evangelical voters. But his religion also gets him into trouble when he contradicts widely understood scientific theories, like evolution.
The former neurosurgeon has said that God created all life 6,000 years ago and rejects Charles Darwin’s widely-accepted theory of evolution. In 2012, he argued that Darwin’s theory was encouraged by the devil.

They were tuning instruments to focus energy.
Carson is an idiot, hope this helps.

I am surprised he didn't say they were built to house T-rex

None of his supporters want to chime in and defend this weeks lie from him?

This pathetic House Negro has earned a Lifetime Pass on the Coon Train - his former legacy in the Black community forever tarnished.

NOBODY is defending him.
on boards like free republic, MANY are now saying he's not building election infrastructure - he's using all his $ to build a marketing list, the same thing Huck did when he used the POTUS race to build a follower base for book sales and other items to endorse.
Several articles on it too. makes sense, seeing him top himself with insane statements daily.
10 or 11 weeks from iowa, and carson is building nothing. skipping ads. skipping building up offices in early states. skipping endorsements and other key items.
Just selling books and saying crazy things. He's running for wealthy author, not president. the HUCK formula.

I thought I heard it all up until now and that it couldn't get worse.... then I hear the remark about the signers of the Declaration of Independence not being political people.

many of them just invent facts. It's based upon what they 'feel'. Obama kills bin laden and drops lots of bombs on ISIS, and claims to be a Christian.
BUT since they 'feel' otherwise, they deny a man's claimed religion. IMAGINE how made they'd be if someone saw them cheering death penalties, laughing at starving old people, and called them something other than Christian. They'd be ANGRY that someone had the balls to accuse them of not being what they claim.

First lucid post I've seen of yours in awhile. Keep it up

None of his supporters.....um I'm not sure he has any here. Its hard to call a guy like this an idiot as what he does for a living is akin to magic but as for anything related to being president...yeah I think he's an idiot.

He's a good brain surgeon.
But he is very ignorant in a lot of other key areas which are important to a person making decisions at the presidential level.
-
To be good at what he did he kinda had to live in a bubble. That's ok if its a business bubble or a foreign policy bubble but not his. I'm done with him, time to move on.

So do you think it's going to come down to Rubio vs Cruz? That's what most people are saying now. I still think Trump is going to be a rich, rich, canddiate and tough to beat. Cruz has been my choice since day 1.

also, HH6, I gotta give you props. You're a conservative and you hate hilary... but you are always very honest about a republican when they're idiots or full of shit. You can say Palin, or Carson, is just a bad candidate, even if they're a frontrunner, when you see all their lies and ignorant statements.
so many republicans lose credibility by defending a candidate thru stacks of lies. Carson lied about this whole west point offer - that's horrible - and ya just know some getbiggers will paint him as a victim here.
thanks for keeping it real, when so many new republicans cannot.

Apparently not...but we'll see if Politico has to backtrack. Carson and Palin are I guess similar...but Carson has preformed at a high level in what I said before is magic to me. Palin...nice woman...likes guns....kinda weird...might make an ok secretary. VP...really.

I never took Carson seriously as a candidate, but with the things he's been saying these last few weeks I'm starting to not take him seriously in any capacity.
I work in an academic environment. I've seen way too many genuinely brilliant people that are just completely out of touch with reality. Ben Carson just doesn't strike me as that type. By all accounts he was a great brain surgeon (I don't think he practices anymore, does he?) but something about him just seems off... I can't quite put my finger on it. It's like someone is mixing lithium in his breakfast cereal.

But someone on here thought that such an honest person would be great to have involved in public policy.
They sure are quiet now about him.

i read on getbig that the liberal media faked this video of Carson making asinine statements.

We need to start a thread with our predictions of what excuse Carson will use when he drops out.
I got dibs on "it's the media's fault for persecuting me".

His campaign was built to store manure.

hmmmm...It stands to reason that most structures designed for storage must be mostly....hollow?
