That's rough.
But in a sense, for his parents, not so bad. Must be a very lonely life when old and married when one of the two pass away.
-
Played HS ball with him and against him in college.
Sad day for the Fluties.

He was my favorite NFL qbs back in the 90s

Wow,that sucks........reminiscant of the Mentzer brothers dying just a few days apart.
Always liked Flutie especially when I lived in New England.

He left out one part. The Dad popped a Viagra, the mom popped the female Viagra, they fucked like rabbits and died from the stress.

I have a question for you, WalterWhite- When you were in HS could you see the potential of Doug to go AS FAR as the NFL???
P.S. I saw him play when he was in the Canadian League & my God could he throw the ball!!!!!

Sounds sad, and I'm sure he and his family are hurting, but when a couple is married for 56 years, you kind of expect when one goes, the other goes soon after.
I bet they had a great marriage considering most marriages don't make it 6 years as opposed to 56.
Good for the Fluties... Godspeed.

Sad turn of events. Remember watching the Boston College game with that hail mary throw.

Like the movie with Tom Selleck called "Folks". Where the parents didn't want to die and the other keep living so they kept trying to kill themselves. Pretty funny flick. I never understood it when I was in elementary school, that part of it anyway, but now getting older and being married, I'd probably want to go with my wife. Well, provided we were both old as hell.

May the next sound they both hear be, "Well done, faithful servant." And then they see one another. Condolences to the family. At the end of all things, they will all see one other again.

That's pretty cool. Saw him once at a Bruins game. So shitfaced that his buddies were carrying him :-\
