Post by: KSA on March 08, 2006, 07:56:47 AM
Is it a good leg press or dangerous for the back and knees  ???

not dangerous as long as you warm up well first. Not quite as effective or comfortable as the more recent slanted models from my experience.

You have the idea, with some effort can find a way to get something similar. ;)

Actually a slant board is used under the lower back/butt to throw the stress more on the legs than on the lower back, which my governor seems to be not doing. Lead by example but not in this case. That is a very old style leg press machine which I used as a teen in the late '80's. I use to do sitting overhead press on one and also tricep presses. Can be effective, though you could run out of room when trying to add extra BB plates. Good Luck.
